I was out in the garlic patch weeding late today and skeeters were out already gnawing at my ankles. Gonna be a rough year here I believe. T

And,wasps are horrible. Had bunches of them clinging to the over hang on my house.

Hadn't seen to many of those yet but plenty of beetles pollenating the flowers and fruit trees blooming.

They don't eat wood...but they like to tunnel...into wood... and they LIKE your home as well as any wood... they make a small tunnel in...and down... here's a Fix if that fails...get some Bug spray

I think bat house would be great.. Bring in the bats! they can eat tons in a night. With the lack of cold this winter lots of us are gonna have lots of bugs this summer.

Well I dropped the ball on this post, not long after posting this a friend told me to use of all things Listerine. Full strength, dollar store brand worked fine for me. You do have to reapply it, but it did work and its better than putting Deet all over ya. And for those annoying gnats for us in the south, don't know if you northerners get them use vanilla an water spray, it can be imitation about half and half, works pretty good. And ya smell good to, lol.

Gnats are bad here, worse than any year I remember. will try that for the flies Usually we don't have gnats..or just a few.....skeeters are usually worse...but not this year... but you can't sit outside long before there's a fly ready to munch on ya...imagine it's da hog barns a mile to the north, east, west and south

with our lack of rain we havn't had very many skeeters at home ..... come to think of it there arn't any here in N.C. Mountains either ..
