Now, Not saying that there isn't a problem here at the forum...because every site has problems from time to time.
I have had many problems like these cleared completely with just a click by clearing my cache...
GH, we need to know exactly what happens.
Like I said, if it's a issue that I can nail down...then we can phix it.
I have had the problem Mo stated...but only occasionally...
I have had load problems, page LOST problems and many of the "vanishing" posts tho...
Everywhere I go...
When I have NOT cleaned my computer up...
Rita Is very computer savvy and is correct...it does help...
And...
Deleting your cookies, history and clearing your cache does NOT remove your Faves, passwords or bookmarks.Phact is, You must do this occasionally or you will experience:
slow response in receiving web pages
problems with connectivity to the Internet (page not found-404 error-DNS server Blah-blah)
hard drive crashes...
not to mention vanishing pages, missing links, cursor staying a "hand" instead of a pointer..etc.
Plus those cookies can be a security risk, and doing the clearing of these can free up much hard drive space!!
About cache, cookies, and historyEach time you access a file through your web browser, the browser caches (i.e., stores) it.
Thus, the browser doesn't have to newly retrieve files (including any images on the page) from the remote web site each time you click Back or Forward.
You should periodically clear the cache to allow your browser to function more efficiently.A cookie is a file created by a web browser, at the request of a web site, that is stored on a computer.
These files typically store user-specific information such as selections in a form, shopping cart contents, or authentication data. Browsers will normally clear cookies that reach a certain age (sometimes they are stored for YEARS!!!)
Clearing them manually may solve problems with web sites or your browser.A browser's history is a log of sites that you visit. When you press a browser's Back button, you are moving back one entry the history log. Browsers will normally clear history at regular intervals, but you may want to clear it manually for privacy reasons.
Now, I wouldn't post this without a link...From The good pholks at Indiana University
It has the instructions (very, very easy
) for the most popular, most used and the latest versions of many browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, ...list goes on and on)...and even for Androids, etc.
here is the link:
Indiana University Knowledge BaseWhen you go somewhere like Facebook, and have a problem...you can report it...but GOOD LUCK...getting action...
Here, the matter has been looked at, by both myself and Proboards...Will be looked at till it is corrected...and I will always let everyone know the outcome...
