  The stove has trouble since day 1. So we have been looking for a different stove & have decided on going with a gas one. We will order it tomorrow. I have no idea how to cook on a gas stove..never used one but we are in need of something that will do a good job for us. Esp since canning season is here. Will have to do a bit of research on cooking with gas! We shall post a pic of it when we have it.

On the stove-top, just remember when you turn a burner on high, it's on HIGH RIGHT NOW! No waiting time like with electric. You'll learn it fast, especially after ya burn up an egg er two, lol. Congrats on the new stove. ;D

Laura, we haven't cooked with gas in over 40 years. Just because we don't have it. But I remember when we did use gas, its was nice. I am happy for y'all. CF  |

I don't have it, but use to and loved it. And it comes in handy in the winter when the power goes out to warm at least 1 room to stay warm in.

I have a gas stove at home and an electric stove up north , The gas stove is wayyyyy betta!! LOL like someone stated you don't have to w8 4 the heat... It is right there Congrats I think, on the new stove...  ?? Sucks your other one only lasted 4 years!!! They just don't make stuff like they used to... |

You can say that again Wendy..unfortunately it is said...and accurate to say about most anything these days.... way too often well, we went to the store, I kicked the wheels...RETOLD the saga of the Crap stove and service... UPSET the sales and management staff by trying to whittle down the price...(WHATYA MEAN YA WANT 30% off!!)...  (probably embarrassing Laura)[ color=Black]sorry Sweetie ifin I did...[/color] Couldn't get em' riled enuff to be really rude  (which always brings the price down when you address the manager of the store about their ILL MANNERED/RUDE SALES STAFF) made a offer which they declined...and they let Us walk out...so they weren't no phun to deal with...  We'll most likely go back and take the stove with the 20% off they offered Laura to begin with... guess it's a leftover from bein in management for years...sometimes I just like to shake em' up and see ifin a deal will phall out |

Phil, I always do the same thing. When I start, wife says I'll wait in the car. Doesn't bother me any. Course my monetary rate is still back in the 50's somewhere. CF |

Well if they won't cut the price down at least try and get something free thrown in, like a canister set or bake ware or sumthang. Geesh. They just don't do right no more these days.
