Howdy Phamily...
Well, the election's over - while I may be disgusted and downhearted I am by NO means defeated.......I still believe in MY America and pray EVERY day that something happens and she gets a reprieve from idiots......My advice is to stockpile any and ALL goods and hang on to our hats......God help us all.......

It's still early, OOB. I'm guessing the election didn't go the way you wanted. EVERY election misses the mark for at least half the voters and the world still doesn't come to an end.
Nothing wrong with stocking up on things you might need, especially if it's on sale. Don't worry so much about hunkering down in the future that you forget to live today. Today is a good day, let's not waste it wringing our hands. ;D

Yes ....it is starting...friend's grandson lost his job yesterday, her son had to take a $2 an hour cut in pay to keep his, and my BF just told me her husband no longer has a job...it is going to be a very bumpy road......

well here's one good thing. GOD WILL BE WITH US CHRISTAINS ALL THE BUMMPY,BLOWN UP,ROAD WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! My son is taking BOB JONES UNIVERSITY -AMERICAN REPUBLIC it's a geography,history,S.S. course for 9th grade. i can not believe how much of what was going on in the 1700,s that we fought for then we are fighting for now!! i sit in the class everyday with him and make my 10 year old to. if you can buy this book you should. also goodle free american history quizzes there are a whole bunch that you can quiz your knowledge on the U.S. goverment and constitution.You will come up to speed fast if you do not know your history facts. most of the people who voted for Obama,not all,but most we have talked to here in Florida,no nothing at all about our laws,constitution,democracy..... It's shocking how little people know. One told me but We get free medical care,i said well kiss that goodbye,you'll be lucky to get medical care here soon. My doctor told me that if Obama care goes through,their "death Pannels" will not let me get the heart care i'll need and alota of other health care like Humira,.... i can't wait to see the shock on these people's faces when they go to the E.R. for a runny nose and are turned away  Light bulb's are going to go on fast!!! We will be there right with them tho.But so will God! God knows who did not want God in the platform. |

seems rather strange that the military's absentee ballots arrived ONE day too late for voting and submission.......this election was a 'done deal' way BEFORE Nov 6th.....just my humble opinion.....

my thoughts to OOB! Wait til Jan. 1 when all the Bush tax cuts expire. We are SCREWED! Won't be worth working then, ya ain't gonna make $$$ anyway. I heard the other day 49 percent of americans are on some kind of government assistance. Ovomit wants everyone dependant on them so they can control the people. Things change rather we like it or not. It was under Bush they messed up my pension. You have to take it much faster than I wanted. It was under Bush's cut the with holding tax and I ended up owing $500 when I had always paid enough and some back. Either party things get messed up it seems to me. It seems to me it 6 of one and half dozen of the other. You had more money in the pay check but he did not cut the tax and if you spent the extra money you had to come up with it at tax time. I banked mine and could write them the check. They pull all kinds of things.
If the other guy had got in a bunch would been unhappy too. So some are unhappy no matter who got in.
OOB you are in the age range of my kids. I can remember the 30's and 40's. People live HIGH now.

I think the reps ran their campaign on fear,just an extension of the Bush years,a terrorist under every bed and behind every wall. I dont want more of that for sure.Im tired of the fear line.I dont live in fear. The country thrived in the 1960's when we had tax rates in the 70 % for the wealthy,and we didnt have CEO's making a Kings ransom on the backs of the serfs,we had a middle class because that money went down the food chain,not concentrated at the top. It didnt pay for them to get exorbitant salaries,but gee somehow they still lived quite well,just not like Sheiks. Look,we survived Bush,we will survive Obama,Its NOT the end of the World. As for that 47 %,that includes Social Security and Medicare,didnt you PAY for those?  ? So thats NOT an entitlement,its an insurance policy we paid the premiums on our whole working lives.And they want to take it away,SCREW THEM! They have enough as it is,now let em pay a pension to those who made the product that produced the profits,not take it all. Middle class,its gone and you can thank BOTH parties that sent our jobs to the lowest bidder in the name of free trade,free trade my azz,its slave trade with commies! It doesnt raise them up,it only takes us down. This Country was founded on tariffs to raise revenues and to protect America from the slave wage producers. When direct taxation went in,gov was able to eliminate tariffs to fund themselves,Bye Bye jobs! I will say one thing,the middle class is being decimated and it isnt going to stop until we get ALL the traitors out instead of re-electing them. |

What kind of classes will there? Proverty, poor and rich? I sure as heck paid in to SS program. Retired at 72. I had to work to get the SS and pension built up.
We survived Bush. I had to go to main office and ask them to with hold more IRS money after that . If you did not have the money after spending it you could borrow to pay taxes. We were told more money in our checks. One year I got cut to 25 a week. I had to use savings to make it. I hung on and that job went to full time. In 40's we lived in a tar paper shack as nothing to rent. Dad was carpenter on Naval Supply Base. Dad had told mom to stay in Denver at the house. She would not as no family would be around there. You could not buy a pair of shoes with out shoe stamp. Rationing. 30's lucky to have money for anything. I have seen some rough times.
