Ky. park to host Buffalo Night in January
SLADE, Ky. (AP) - Natural Bridge State Resort Park is hosting an evening of bluegrass music and buffalo burgers next month.
The Appalachian Heritage Buffalo Night event is set for Jan. 12 at the park near Slade, about 50 miles southeast of Lexington off the Mountain Parkway in eastern Kentucky.
An all-you-can-eat buffet will be served from 4 to 8 p.m. The menu will include buffalo burgers, buffalo meatloaf, buffalo ribs, buffalo rounds, venison stew, fried catfish as well as vegetables and desserts.
The price for adults is $17.95 plus tax, and for children ages 6 to 12 the price is $8.95 plus tax. Children 5 and under are free.
The band Brushfire will play bluegrass music in the Hemlock Lodge Lobby from 5:20 to 7 p.m.
The park includes a lodge and cottages.

It does sound like a good deal, entertainment is high priced here...and not of this phine of an event! They used to have a Buffalo barbeque every other year in a small town back in Mo. they roasted da beast... when I was about 8 or 9...I watched my cousin shoot the buffalo one year with a .243...a humane shot to the head from about 12 feet (I wouldn't have gotten closer either) The animal shrugged..looked at Bob.. yeah, he would have dropped..but that didn't keep Bob from firing once more... (yeah...that about looks like what Bob's face looked like)

Thanks for posting this Cavey. I'm def. gonna try to go to this. We've never had buffalo.
