Wow...and are they high.....they are almost $4 each for a small pot of anything...such as kale, spinach, mint....which I did break down and buy one mint plant....it will thrive and I can share with friends, I have chocolate mint, but this was just the old spearmint variety...paid almost $2 for some 1015 TX sweet onion plants, but they will grow quickly....have sets ordered but they have not come in yet....Dollar General has seeds 3/$1.....okra, tomatoes, peppers, corn, yellow and zucchini squash.....getting spring fever....looked out over the old garden today and wanted to dig up dirt..LOL

Grannie G: We grow our own Herbs here and still have some growing inside, but it much to cold to set anything out here. One of the suppliers I buy from does have started lettuce plants and some herbs, but we generally wait until march to plant under protected rows.

Wally's here is starting to set out the pallets of bags with mulch, potting soil, etc in them lined up in the parking lot. I keep telling myself it'll come soon, pretty soon. Gotta wait til Feb sometime or the plants will run us out of the kitchen before they can be set out.

Very expensive seedlings happened here. Ace hardware still had affordable plants, but not much selection.
I started seeds in tupperware containers to keep them from drying out, and then I set the containers on the hot air register for heat.
Many years ago I bought 8 packs of vegetables or flowers for 80 cents each, but times have very much changed!

I've seen plants out but haven't checked the price. It's still too cold. I hope they aren't so expensive here.
