Then I have this plant. It stays outside all winter and the leaves stay green. I have had it a few years 3 or 4 maby and this is the 1st time it has bloomed!! I just noticed cool huh? Anyone know what it is?? The leaves are the big leaves that look like an indoor plant ... See the flower? The lil leaves are the columbine leaves , they are mixed in and Columbine kinda goes every where!!

Ok I found a old seed pod (a whole plant full) up against the house it was nice and dry. I brought it in and I dumped it in a baggie (lots of seeds) Will they still be ok? I will also get new ones. I just thought those were nice and dry so I dumped the whole thing into a baggie!! So unless you say so I will keep them safe till the next ones are dry..I will keep them separate. The seed pods are on this years plants ,they are just not dry yet, still have alot of flowers on them. Some of the pods are nice and big to!! I also now have 2 flowers on my Candle plant!! Cool!! Now I wish it was somewhere eles tho it is kinda mixed in with another plant. I like the Candle plant because it stays green all winter!

Yep that's ok W8in as long as the bag stays dry..How old are your columbines? cause they are short lived perennials.I think 3or4 years. save some seeds for your self or let the last few flowers self sow. You should start a candle flower topic & post pics!

I think they keep coming back because I never save the seeds (self sow) (I think) I put the seeds I found in a plastic baggy , maby I will put one of those lil things so absorb moisture in there? Any how I will get you some fresh seeds also. I really don't need to save seeds for myself. I will send them all to you unless someone eles speaks up and wants some.

W8in thats ok. I just think it makes it easier to have its own topic post so if you ever want to look back on it the topic will be on the main list and you wont have to look through all the other topics baggies are fine as long as they stay dry, Ive had seeds in baggies for a few years and there good.
