Basement flooded!!

So yea our basement flooded yesterday! I didn't know where the sump pump was last I seen it Dave had it tore apart!! I didn't think it even worked! So He got home and hooked it up!! It was setting on the picnic table!! Who'd of thunk looking there? Anyhoo So today I am on task!! Well not right!! The pump went out!! I went to Lowes because I am a big girl I can handle this! Bought a new pump for 98 bucks!! Yay! Get it home and fittings don't match!! What the heck!! Arggggg So now back to Lowes and have them help me!! Maby by 7:15 tonight I might have it all figured out? And water free? I am sure Dave would of had it figured out in 5 mins. Ticks me off !! I am so frustrated right now. I am glad I am by myself because I can shoot daggers out of my eyes !! Dog is even afraid of me right now!! Well he needs to be because he took off down the road at the most in opportune moment!! I went to pick him up and then he turned around and went back home!! ughhhhhh I could just scream!! 
Yup thats my !! 
And to think last year at this time we ran out of water!! It was sure easier to buy water than to pump it out!! Thats for sure!! Ughhhhhhhh

W8, guess in some way I am happy we don't have a basement. Been super busy trying to repair our sprinkler system. CF

Nothing is dry here except the basement, and I'm surprised it is with all the rain we are having, it's had to raise the seasonal water level. We have a sump and sump pump that keeps our basement dry when there is a wet spell,It's only had to pump a few times in the past 15 years and we have never had water come up to basement floor level. We are about 800' from a small river and wetlands but we are high enough that flooding doesn't effect us. Good luck w8in4dave. Hope the basement is dry by now.

ChiliFarmer is right. We are getting desperate for rain. Even watering my garden every day, the melon vines are starting to dry up. We have had a cool start to July. Temps in the 80's, starting to inch up into the 90's. Supposed to be 99 degrees this Saturday, and no rain in site.

Our basement is dry now I hope it stays that way. Last year our well went dry remember? If it isn't one thing it is another!!

I hope everyone who needs rain gets it!! And for those of us who don't , hopefully it will hold off!!

We are hot and dry. Bit cooler, low 90's and not the high 90's

Down home we had a root cellar that got water every summer and go down in the winter. . No basements. After the irrigation ditch was cement it let up and pipe in front of house so no ditch. Cellar was dry. No basement here and and not where would get water. MIL had to have a sump and pump at her farm as had water in basement. Water from river was out of its banks then I was told.

Where I work had to have a sump and pump. One year they refused to get a pump and the furance sat it it. Another time the nitwit guy was taking our pump to city hall and pumping under it with it and we'd get water. Hauling it back and forth.
I had it and had over boots at work to use the basement bathroom.
Only one there. I went to city manager and told him what was going on and he didnot know it. Yes, they bought another pump. I didnot work for the city . I was county,

W8, have you sorted out the clothes that are too big for you? I still have few pants and jeans to on try and and if fits hem them up. I have boxed up a big box of them. Suppose to go to Vernal this week and I will get stuff to mark my navy tops so can tell them. Not too much to mark. When I get too old to walk I may gain or puff up and need them. I do not need to mark black as if not marked it is black. If marked it is navy. That will cut the work down on it.

Our basement flooded AGAIN!! I told hubbs I'd stay home from vacation but he says it is not the ditch go on vacation!!  He will take care of it. So I will leave Monday! No I have not gone thru my clothes as of yet, I have just really started to lose weight, sometimes I still use them, they look like hell on me but hey!! I still wear them! It has only been a few months so I have time! It is really hard for me to buy new clothes that are not 2 xl I buy 1xl and my friends tell me no buy a lg I said no I will buy xl ... But then get 1xl ... I don't like tight clothes!! I do not like any part of a fat roll to show!! Not 1 single part!! I'd much rather wear a 2xl if no fat roll shows!! I drive my friends crazy! hahahaha I have time to go thru and separate and go thru stuff!! Maby those lined winter pants will fit me again

Doesn't you sump pump go on and off by its self? When water comes it is suppose to come on. It needs a hole to set in. I think you can buy a hole liner deal and then set the pump in. The float deal on the pump turns it on and off. Then no water on the floor.

Wait till your wt stablizes. Mine is as stable as it it is going to be. I think I have lost all the inches I will loose now. I thought that last year. I tell the Dr I have a fat tummy and he pokes it and says does that hurt. No! I have griped over this fat tummy for over 2 years I know. Like I told him to start with the black and blue had gone and the soreness but still swelled. I do not have any fat on me. What type of clothes to wear to try and hid this fat tummy. I wear my tops on the out side. How much that hides it? I had 7 or 8 shots in the tummy. I do not know if situps woulmd help any. I was waiting and hoping it would go away. I wear jeans and pants all the time.

I walked my mile yesterday okay. I could not Friday. I had to to turn around and come home. Why the ankle hurt I donot know. But I decided to turn around and head for home. . I am trying to keep wt at around 111 where my Dr wants it. I am short . Least I had his attention.

I have not tried on the dresses to see if I can wear. I need room in the closet. Too much. I am as slim as I will be I think.

Colorado we don't have a Sump crock. A sump crock is what your talking about. It sinks into the floor and when the water comes in the sump pump pumps the water out. We don't have that. We have a hole in the floor It is a 3 inch pipe that goes to the creek. Don't ask me why? It has been here since before I was born I am sure! But thats what it is! There is a long pipe that screws into that pipe,everything goes into the creek, so if the water comes up, it comes into that pipe. Well there are so many cracks in the floor .. Water just comes up!! Well it doesn't happen but every few years and has never happened this long since I have been around!! That is for sure!! One day when Dave is not home!! I may have someone come in and put a sump crock in!! And then I may be over this wet basement thing!! Before it kills me!! That and I will have the roof fixed that keeps leaking!! So he needs to go on Vaca so I can get this carp fixed!! My weight!?? I cannot w8 to see what it is going be ... I hope it doesn't level out for a while lol ...I also have ankle problems I can just be walking and my ankle will hurt and I will be limping for a month. There will be nothing to trip on, no hole no nothing, I just have weak ankles ... I think alot has to do with Celiac ... Alot of things are coming together now ... I need probiotics so I can start absorbing nutrients I have not absorbing in a while.

Do they make ankle suports? I had to have knee ones after my knee tore up. I got a medium one and it was too much and I got the light wt one. That worked. My knee is okay now and not scared it will buckle on me. MY ankles are fine but the other day that one was not . arthritis or a cramp. This morning my left butt is sore. It hurts. Stormy yesterday. I have arthritis all over me. RA.

I had to buy a scale to keep my wt okay. Ihad bought one years ao for a $1 at a thrift shop. It went haywire. I was told to wt me each morning to be sure I was not water logging. I found that scale was off and I bought a new one. If the battery goes in it wt funny too. Drug store was only place in town and it was $25. I donot like batts and but it had big lighted up numbers. I wt 111.6 this morning. Where I should be. Wt will vary and I try to stay between 110 and 112. And walk. Because of the heart trouble. I have to watch out for salt. More so in the winter.

MY left hip has not bothered for heck of long time. Could be another storm coming in.

I take it that pipe is a drain. You put the stand pipe in it to pump into.

I can eat some thing one day and I have diarrhea from it and another time does not bother me. I think the diarrhea pill is causing the Afib as it dehydrates me. I watch my sugar which I have to have a little. I am eating carbs and trying to get down enough liquid. Any thing with corn syrup can do it.

Yes I do believe thay make ankle supports! I hear they kinda make your ankles weaker , I don't know if it is true or not but thats what they say ..

Yeah, I would guess if you wore ankle supports all the time. But if sore and need to heal maybe help. Excerises maybe. My knee has strenghtened with walking.

When I hurt my foot/ankle I had to do excerises. I wore an air cast for 9 weeks and Dr said give it up. Keep it as I would be back in it. NO I have not and I got my foot back into place. Would not show on xray. It healed then once I popped it in. Some people I think have weak ankles.

I tried to get some things put away in the pantry yesterday. Some what better. Probably will not be able to find things now.

Got to get around as the bus will start picking up people at 8:30 . School bus will pick up seniors for the town picnic as bus goes to Vernal today. Cannot do both so I will go to Vernal. I think I am about ready. I have the windows and door closed and my bag and money in purse. And I know I had not better spend that much.

Well I sure hope my basement isn't too bad!! I guess we had quite a bit of rain while I have been gone!!! I guess next t ime I will have to look ahead on the weather map!! But really all they said was chances of rain!! Well ya know there is just as much chance of not raining!! How can they get away with Chances of rain? Specially when it saiys 50% ? Well Ihave another week here so hopefully they are right when they say 10 days of NO rain! How they can predict that is beyond me!! Guess thats because they went to school and I didn't lol ....
