You'd be surprised Lucy!! We just gave a kitten away to a friend that has a hound lol Kinda reminds me of Dan. The Dog's name is Levi. Levi wanted to chase the cat, but the cat was not interested in running (used to Harley) . Cat and dog now are friends. It hasn't even been a week since they had the cat. lol funny stuff!! I am really surprised these people wanted a cat , with Levi, and they were unsure, I told them if it didn't work out they could give the cat back. Needless to say , cat is still gone! In the past we had as many as 12 Brittany's of our own with outside and inside cats, luckily neither Ruth nor myself are allergic to the cats. However the cats and dogs got along beautifully...I think some of the cats thought they were dogs. Now we are down to three cats,two outside and one inside. The cats that are outside take care of all critters in and around the barns. And our cat inside takes care of any flying insects that may come in the house. They earn there keep! |

Thanks Wendy and JC, that gives me hope. Bub spotted some kittens this evening and wanted one or 2. When we get back from Tn we may look into getting a cat (or 2 if it's up to bub)

We do not have rodent problems,LOL,but curious,do cats get squirrels cause they are gone now too. |

Yes they will attack young squirrels, and if there are some bigger cats in the neighborhood they will take on adult squirrels. When we had our Brittanies they loved to catch squirrels and ground hogs, and then leave them on the porch for us to see...I got surprised more then once.  |

Alot of times Cats don't even have to "Get" The squirrels. The squirrels "Sometimes" will leave when I cat moves in. I have a friend with a cat and he sets on the front porch and watches the squirrels run around and play ... Silly situation!! LOL

25-20 takes care of critters that the cats cant handle,and unwanted tress passers.
