I'm another Texas native who likes country and small town living. My wife, Vi, and I live in the edge of Mineral Wells in Palo Pinto County. We're a couple of newlyweds (only 7 years) tryin' to accept the fact that we've passed 70 years on this planet, but we ain't goin' down without a fight . In our minds we're still young'uns and we enjoy every day the Lord gives us . Our careers were mostly in sales and mgmt., PR, and marketing, both wholesale and retail...mine in meat and food ser., hers in resorts and services. Now and for a number of years (23 for Vi and 7 for me) we train and work human remains detection (cadaver) dogs, donating our services to law enforcement, fire depts., and other gov. agencies anywhere we're needed. We love animals, cookin', ', gardening, reading, writing, and family and friends. I look forward to getting to know y'all. John

Would like to give you two a big Texas HOWDY, from another Texan, but not by birth. The wife and I are middle newlyweds, 34 years. Sounds like you guys have a pretty good life out there in Mineral Wells. Currently living in the DFW area, next to Lake Lavon. How is your drought? Hope not as bad ours is. The lake is down 65%. If, by any chance, you have any 'extra' rain. please send it east for us. We are needing it bad!!. Please take your boots off, take a look around. Thinking that you will love this forum as your new home. Real friendly folks here. If you have any questions, please ask.Someone here will have an answer. If not. There is our mentor Phil. He's good with answers. If you have any experiences you would like to share, please do. Now for pictures. We love them. You can never post to many.
