I am somewhat Lactose intolerant I can eat butter but no milk or Bmilk for me! Not that I would ever drink Bmilk! My dad used to and it disgusted me! LOL But it was the looks. I have never tasted it. And unless I get this Lactose back I never will! I can eat butter now. For a while I couldn't Had to make ghee, had to take the Lactose out of it. Taste the same. Anyhoo for dinner Dave had a can of soup I had some left over rice , added some beans and salsa to it Pretty good if I do say so myself.

We are having a Hamburger and Potato Casserole can I have the recipe So easy!! I browned the hamburger 2 lbs I think, I got a can of GF Cream of Mushroom soup, I parboiled some potatoes , I sliced the potatoes ofter they were par boiled. I then layered the meat sauce poured some Cream of mush. soup Potatoes, and a layer of sliced cheese(of choice). Just kept layering and pouring Cream of mush soup. Ended with a layer of cheese. And Popped it in the oven. 350 it took a while for the potatoes to get done. I should of cut them thinner. I hear you can do this with mashed potatoes also. It was a great hit! If you don't have Cream of mush you can used any Cream of soup. My GF soup is not a condensed. So I didn't have to add any milk or any thing. I also leave the peel on the potatoes. Oh I did cook the hamburger with onions and garlic.

My brother married a woman from deep south La. I loved her "Red beans and rice!" I can eat it and eat it! I can never make it taste like hers, but I love it none the less! I just love beans I think! Specially home cooked (not in a can) They are good like you cooked them with some Cumin on them also.

This is the way we like garbanzos, well one of the ways. CF
The real hummus Recipe:
15 oz can of garbanzo beans, drain 3/4 of the liquid in the can but save the rest 1/3 cup lemon juice, fresh works best but bottled is okay too 4 Tbsp tahini (sesame paste) 3 cloves of garlic, lightly chopped 1 tsp salt 1 Tbsp ground cumin (These are more like guidelines for this recipe… you really have to taste it and adjust it to what you like. If you like it more garlicky add more garlic, if you like it less lemony, decrease the lemon, etc.)
Instructions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor until they are smooth. Enjoy! To make this hummus extra fancy garnish with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil, some pine nuts, and some paprika like I did! Beautiful!

Another thing about beans/legumes of any kind-cooking more than one kind together makes them all better and I really like to cook barley along with beans-also good for you and makes a nice contrast of texture-the beans get soft and fall apart/make a gravy and the barley stays together and gives you some chewiness. And all these things are cheap and keep almost forever with no work or electricity. 2706

I almost always mix bean types when we do beans.. we had split pea last night, with carrots and barley...made some biscuits that didn't quite do what I wanted.. Night before last we had french onion soup..was busy and didn't have time for the cheesy bread I typically serve with it, so Laura rolled out a couple tortilla, and we had a quick&easy cheese quesadilla Tonight is Taco Thursday..Not Tuesday..and DEFINITELY NOT Taco Hell finishing the last of the garden lettuce in fridge...

Making a Turkey in the PBC. Made 2 14lb turkeys so far.The one in the gas SRG I cooked to 170 and it came out a bit dry but good smokey flavor. The one in the charcoal PBC took 6 hours at 275F average about, came out moist and removed at 163.Both had stuffing and I let them sit covered in foil 2 hours and still steaming when foil removed,so well cooked(can go with lower temps if you cook it longer, safely, its a time vrs temp thing) but not overcooked,PBC was very moist. That bird I refrigerated the breasts and then it sliced thinly with a knife for great sandwiches going forward. So my first BBQ cooked birds was great learning and happy with the process.Nothing beats a PBC for birds as it makes a low temp steaming smoking grease fog that the bird cooks in so man we are talking moist birds. If you like great charcoal ribs and birds you cant beat the PBC,its taking the world by storm, his sales are skyrocketing with good reason.Possible to make your own on youtube but for the price isnt really worth it IMO.
