Hi. Maybe you can advise me. I have a tiny flock of hens + 1 rooster. Now that it is relatively warm here in Zone 3 Canada, they want to hang around outside, just a foot or two in front of their door for a few minutes, then they go back inside. They are doing this inside 'n' out all day. They won't go any farther since there is still snow away from the door. So, does anyone know if a fox or wolf or coyote (we have 'em all) would be so bold as to actually enter a chicken house? Should I just keep them locked inside until I can put them outdoors into a safe area? Thanks for your info.

Yes, they will go into your chicken house.....or a wire pen if they can find a way in.

I was gunna say yes also! Specially the hard winter we have had! They are out searching for easy prey! I'd lock them in!

Excellent Idea spuds has! If you set out there while they are out. They won't risk a gun shot!
