Lives..
Have been very busy..so we are wondering what some of the prices in Your hometowns are.
Coffee here a couple weeks ago were really LOW. We normally drank Folgers Gourmet Supreme.. But at the $ 9.98 price we tried Yuban when it was on sale months ago..then..walla here it is on sale again..$ 5.77 a can down from $ 10.98 a can. So I got 4 of them. What are the prices in your area??
Then as everyone knows..GAS prices have been falling. YAY!!!!!! It is down to $ 2.49 a gallon here. Sure makes it a bit easier to drive 60 miles a day to work & back. However the drive still sux. What are you prices??

Our coffee is back down to the 2 year ago level before the run-up but we arent drinking much and still have a pile of cans in stock. You are right, this is again time to lay in a 2 year supply or more of coffee if you can. Gas 2.99 for premium, but last I heard our gas tax is now highest in nation. Beef is horrible, chuck steak on sale is 4.99/lb,no beef for us,cheapest pork ribs are 2.49/lb Got the sale ham at 1.19/lb(with 25 dollar purchase,a bag of dogfood and 2 loaves of Daves Killer bread covers that),got 20 pounds cut into 1 inch slices. No freezer room or would get more. Our local ads sales,we only shop sales mostly.....Note beef ads are lowest grade...select.These are by far the lowest priced markets in our area.Cardenas sells Mexican Veggies as a loss leader,Staters is mostly our meat place. www.cardenasmarkets.com/src/v1.htmlwww.staterbros.com/TopMenu/Weekly-Ad.aspxYou know I read that year to year, buying groceries for your pantry had about a 30% return on investment this last year, dont know anywhere else that paid that high a return on a one year investment.GO PANTRY and shopping on sale in bulk.

Our gas prices for regular is $2.36 This I use in my truck. Gas for the cars are a bit higher. Diesel is still higher than gasoline. Meat is out of site on price. But I am seeing more cattle being raised now that the drought is over and hay is growing. Now if they would stop trying to make fuel from corn, and the government would stop paying them to do it. Then you would see the price of food come down. CF

I bought potatoes 10# for $1 this week and last week at Walmart on sale. In Vernal. I do not buy coffee or tea. I drink Pero (like Postum ) Store here jumped the price good $3 or more so get in Vernal. I did not see any case of veggies this fall. I still have green beans ok that I did get on sale. Meat is high. Just my milk bill adds up. Gallon a week. I did get 2 large squash for $2 each . Veggies high. One flatish bumpy green the one pumpkin orange and longish with point. I should save the seed.? Butter nut grew here. Shorter season.

I got turkey for Xmas dinner and it was marked down $4 and they had few. Walmart. 14 pounds. $16.50 so was still over dollar a pound. We had leftovers. Kids took food home. They were pushing ham.
