I would pot it up in a pot for now so its easier to water then plant it when weather permits or time convienent. But thats me. Which one did you get? Roses is one of my favorite plants, should be since I have 98 of them. Mostly OG/Antique. Trudy

I really love the oldies, so much easier to deal with IMO then the newer ones. Other than a little pruning to remove the dead and some fertilizer they are own their own. I periodically root some, when I have a moment. I have some rooted I just bumped up to 1 gallon pots that will be ready to ship in a few weeks. If your interested in those I can put your name on some, one, two. Whatever! Just lmk. I usually root them for trading, but also do them for postage. trudy

Naa, no rose farm here. Just like foolin with them a bit. You know how it is when you do a lot of trading you accumate more than you realize. But I loveum all. I've slowed down over the last year or two on rooting roses, now I just piddle around with it. I still trade but for other things besides roses. My newest plant love is gingers. I'm on 5 acres and just trying my best to fill it up. I don't care for grass. Over the past 12 yrs of living here I've cut DH's mowing down by half by having so many flower beds. Most all of them are large beds. 16 beds around the yard, then the campground area is where the veggie garden is, trying to get ramblers growing on the Hwy/treeline side of the driveway entrance. Talk about no time, thats why they have to be tough and love neglect. Trudy

You can't eat grass. LOL I am not a fan of mowing. By the time I am finished with the plan I have for this yard. There will not be any grass and everything will be in a raised bed with pathways covered in chipped bark thanks to the utility company.
I am planting a medicinal garden a well. Herbs are a love of mine. Speaking of roses I love the old varieties that are highly perfumed. And the ones that have large hips for the wildlife.
I am liking it.
