Late last fall I dug up the four surviving eggplant that hadn't had a long enough growing season, and brought them into the homeplace to overwinter in pots inside (not easy in a 58-60 degree trailer without grow lights)--and they made it. Planted them outside 5/13, had some blossoms since then, and tonight spotted the first thumbsize white Bianca eggplant growing, yippee! And there are blossoms on the outside transplanted tomatoes, tomatillos, and various squash. Almost makes up for the free range hen doing in my garlic and leeks, lol.
