Mickee is it still attached? Or is it completely off the plant?

It's hanging by a thread.Maybe 1/2 inch or so...But bent completely down from the weight. Is it possible to tie it back onto the stalk?

As long as its not broken completely it should survive.Try tying it with some old pantyhose so its suporrted but BE CAREFUL!Dont break it off. It should continue to ripen. If the plant can still get what it needs through the bent piece then it will heal itself. Maters aint as dainty as people think. Sometimes stress will cause those tomatoes to be bigger simply cuz the plant is tryin to heal itself by sendin energy to the injured part!

Most likely it will ripen quicker too. Good luck, I believe xdx is correct, it'll make it!

I hope t'll make it. The hose isn't doing a great job, since it's so darn heavy...But it's hanging in there....Literally! So, I tied it up a bunch, as best I could and kinda propped it up on a bush on the side it was broken on. Hopefully that'll help. There are so many little 'mters on that one, it was like the main vine! I wonder if I could maybe root it in another pot. I wouldn't be able to get it in rooting hormone though...No, better just let things run their course and see what happens.
Thanks again for that info!

It looks like they're all dying. All of my tomatoes, including the ones that were intact. They're all withering and I don't know what to do. They get enough water, not too much and Ihave seen no hornworms or actually any bugs on them. I'm at a loss. Everything looked so healthy yesterday and now everything is dying. Except the watermelon. That is going nuts. The plants are everywhere, taking up about 1/4 of my entire garden and making its way into the other plant areas. But has only one melon. Dunno what's up with that. I guess that's for another thread or something.

Wondering if it would be a good idea to pull dem and place them in the window, just thinking the dying plants could dehydrate your mater's

If the stem cant uptake water & nutrients through the break then it will die off.As long as the stem has water and nutrients in it the maters will still make it but it sounds like doug is right Mickee,Ya might wanna pull the greenies an let em ripen on the counter.Keep em outta the sun cuz that will cause them to lose flavor an vitamins an such!

It was all of the plants that were looking sickly. But I just gave them an extra watering and they look fine now. Must have just been dehydrated. I'll just water them a few times today and it should be okay. If the broken vine shows signs of death, I'll pull those off, even though a lot are kind of small. It looks like it's trying to fuse itself to the main vine where it was broken. There may be hope yet! WOOT!

Mickee, if you can put a pan of water under each pot, in the evening would be best tomatoes are a deep watering plant. They will do fine, as long as there isn't much water during the day. It'll boil the roots.

No Song, watering in the morning is the best. I was just saying that if her tomatoes were really dry, this would help. It's just if the water was heated by the sun it would cook the roots. AM watering is the best, wet ground can promote mold/fungal growth.
