I am growing Ambrosia this year. Third time I have ever grown corn. I either pick too early or too late and it tastes like supermarket corn. I have a few ears close and I was hoping for some wisdom here.

If the silk on the cob is dark and dried out it should ready to pick but sometimes I feel through the husk to check as well at that stage
