We are growing a tomato called the Legend for the first time this year. We saw it at Territorial's store this spring and the large tag had a great write-up so we bought one. It was developed by an OSU professor, I believe. They are large and medium size both ripening together. Here is a pic of one. Next year, I will grow a couple and cage them better. They developed on the ground more than I liked. Heavy buggers! We planted them at the same time as Sungold, Isis and we have been eating them for 2 weeks here in zone 8. The taste is awesome. The big surprise is inside. Not watery at all. Nothing but solid tomato. Never had one like this before. Hardly a seed even. This is lunch. Hope you don't want another pic, because it is gone! Do you like my bowl? Who says I have to grow up just because I am growing old?

Gidday
Now those look like some of the best tomatoes I have seen. But nice lookin is one thing, just how good do they taste?
I am very interested in seeing if I could get a packet sent down here.

Gidday Now those look like some of the best tomatoes I have seen. But nice lookin is one thing, just how good do they taste? I am very interested in seeing if I could get a packet sent down here. I am pretty fussy about my tomatoes as far as taste goes. Up to now, my favorites were Sungold ( orange cherry) and Isis, a bigger cherry. Now, the Legend is my fave. The taste is great. They don't make a mess, the texture in your mouth is very good, and not mealy at all. It just about melts in your mouth. Anybody having trouble getting seed, let me know. They must be available here.
