My Butternut squash leaves are turning yellow and wilting in the afternoon, whats up? my other squash er doing well without a problem. I seen no cuke beetles and SVB's don't mess around much with Butternut squash

Hey Douglas, I don't know anything about your pests and diseases up there but that sounds a bit like they got some fungus going on.

well doug, it could be, but as Jack said, could be a fungus or disease, judging by the yellowing you speak of. How big was it when you set it out? any chance the roots coulda got twisted round each other?

Normally I just drop Dem in by seed and go from there, never had this happen before. I'll check out the roots this fall when the time comes, still have a few squash good enough fer eating
