Say my first Robin 2 weeks ago.
The Bradford Pears are all bloomed out in Tulsa.
The Redbuds are getting their purple hue. Spring seems to be getting here a month early, we really did not have much of a winter this year in the Tulsa area. We had two cold spells and that is it.
It has been warm and dry this winter.
The first cold spell when it got to 0 did a job on my plants in the greenhouse. But since then it has been warm around here.

Looks like spring time is just about here in Creek County too. The Robins are here and the Flickers are gone back up North for the summer. When I went to the chicken coop to open the door this morning I noticed two Red Bellied Woodpeckers playing catch me, Kiss me in the Nanking Cherry Bushes, which are blooming out really nice this morning too.

Gosh, envious, wish we were that far along already, love the cherry blossoms!

Saw my first cardinal since moving in 4 years ago. Looks like the birds might finally have found us. Seeing more birds every day. Once the neighborhood trees get big enough, the birds will have places to build their nests and they can stay longer.

I think that some robins stick around all winter. We see them in February, which by no stretch of the imagination is spring in God's Country. We have a flowing well that runs into a little crick and doesn't freeze up, and that seems to be what draws them.

I didn't see any mid winter this year, last year, we had one here when it was very cold, it looked very old, and we figured it not able to make a long trip. TWB is correct though, if they are around, it will be at a good water source.
