Whee Ha! We got our act together over the weekend, and enlarged my garden using my favorite method, lasagne gardening. I knew I saved all those newspapers for a reason!! Lots of green manure from the steers, peat moss, topsoil and compost. I'm not too worried about the green steer doo, because I'm not planting for another 5 or so weeks. My blog has the details, but I'll post pics here tonight if I remember. YAY!! SPRING!!!

We have had a couple Springy days, and Saturday it went to the high 60's. We kind of rushed it....now this week it's getting back down into the high 30's/low 40's all week. Oh well.

I didn't know you could grow lasagne! Have to try it. Did grow spaghetti squash and that was o.k. Where do you get the seeds?

I pulled out some weeds this weekend. Even planted a few Lupine seeds, since I know it's still too early for "real' planting.

Lupine likes to have a cold period for germination. It helps to wear down the hard seed coat. You could try winter sowing them now. The plant I can't seem to grow is Hollyhocks, also an "easy" plant.

I tried that at the"city house".Worked great! Doubled my garden size in one year! Indeed it is alot of shoveling but it produces an almost instant garden!
