Still breathing They have scheduled the heart cath for April 8th at the VA in Atlanta. Will find out if they can do a stent or have to go ahead with a bypass. Bypasses run in the family, so who knows. Meanwhile, I'm taking it very easy, a lot of napping/tv watching/reading. avoiding stress and keeping the nitro pills handy....
Have got 'maters and pepper plants started - they're sitting on a table behind me in front of a southern window. Looking ok - getting their first set of true leaves. will move them to pots sometime soon, and transplant them into the garden the first week of May, weather permitting (if I'm incapacitated, the wife and our great niece will plant them)
So far we have started 6 plants each of the following varieties - will thin them to the best 2 plants when we transplant.
Peppers - Hungarian Spice, Jimmy Nardello's, Sweet Cherry and Peter Pepper
Tomatillos - Zuni and Mexicali
Tomatos - Prescott Heirloom Lancaster Big Pink Glamour Pineapple Beefsteak Hillbilly Supersweet 100 Italian Oxheart Delicious Wisconsin 55 Gold Brandywine Ponderosa Red (grew the yellow last year) Big Rainbow Omar of Lebanon Watermelon Beefsteak Giant Pink Belgium Leathas Italian Punta Bunda Heirloom Black Cherry
Lastly, I've got some Texas Wild we're going to plant in a clearing in the back woods. Doing these as an experiment to see if they'll come back voluntarily next year. Figure if they do at least the wildlife can eat them, if they're not any good.
Will keep you posted after the heart cath outcome.

Well OOB , remember to respect yer elders ! And if your BD is correct in your profile , I'm your elder (maybe berry ?). And this elder(berry)/HOF (honrey old fart) tells you to hang in there ! Perhaps we could elevate the OOB to include : 'Onrey Ole Backfire. I have to believe that humor is the best medicine. At least it's the cheapest ! You'll be OK bro !!!!!!!
