I got this e-mail today which is verified by Snopes. Check it out and make your own decision. This checks out to be true Subject: BIG VIRUS COMING......PLEASE READ BIG VIRUS COMING - is this for real?
I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus! I checked snopes.com, this morning and it is for real!! Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP. PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS! You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD,' regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your compu ter. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it. If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it.! This includes all cards, too. Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

I don't want to appear to be a party-pooper notherdigger, but sadly it is warning emails such as this that are often responsible for spreading viruses. Anyone who has a well specified anti-virus package can be reasonably assured that their provider is already on the case and that provided that you take the usual precautions you won't have a problem. I don't open this sort of email either I might add.

Go back and read the ENTIRE Snopes.com story, especially the last paragraph - this thing has been around for quite awhile!

Yea I don't open anything that talks about greeting cards myself and actually when it comes to viruses I like it when I'm wrong this way. Only reason I passed this one on is cause my cousin is usually pretty puter savvy on things and I will read the last paragraph and thanks. Have a nice day all.
