-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Watch your gas Tank....our neighbor lives about 4 blocks from us..during the night, someone punctured his gas tank and drained out $75 worth of gas. He is very upset, it is hard enough to find the funds to buy gas, but now he has to add car repair to the list. This is the second one in town to have been punctured and drained within the last week. Usually our dogs alert us that someone is around, as we live on a farm to market road. We have noticed people we do not know walking the steets late at night. One of our neighbors a block from us told us he ran off a guy at 3AM who was snooping around, he did not know him either. In a small town, we usually know everybody, so they stand out. Hard times bring out the worst in some and the better in others. I had to laugh as he posted a sign on the car...OUT OF GAS ! Then he put a note near the gas cap to call if you need gas and listed his phone number.

spent some time helping a disabled friend tend her farm a few years back (gas was cheap then, comparatively) She had no fuel tank, so we filled 6 gallon gas cans and set them where I could get to them easily, for all the equipment...which was near the gravel road, along with the equipment. Several times when I went there the tanks were empty, when they shouldn't have been...I asked if she had used the gas, the answer was NO, so, I remedied the situation...Pharmer Phil Style ... I left the tanks right where they were, but with only a gallon of gas... and 5 gallons of water...about a week later, a couple miles down the road one morning...we had our thief

Neighbor across the road had to buy a locking gas cap for her car because twice in 1 week, she had her gas stolen. We don't have a problem here(probably because our neighbors know we have guns ) , but she had to get the locking kind to keep em outta her stuff. God help em if they try to touch mine. They might get lead poisoning I'm not above hiring a lawyer if needed.......

He told me to go to a yard sale and buy a couple of knives ....table , steak , or whatever....that didn't match anything in the house. Take them home and wipe them clean of prints. Don't use them for anything. That way , if I ever needed to defend myself , a knife that was untraceble could be found in the hand of the criminal. Just be sure to say I saw a knife and felt my life was threatened. With recent court decisions , it may be best to use this approach only if the lead poisoning was applied to the front of the attacker.
