my wonderfull man bought me a mantis mini tiller.. wow let me tell ya it is awesome.. it's light and easy to use but it really works good. i was pretty skeptical about weather it would work or not but it really does, better than i thought it would. you can get pretty close in too.

I would love to have one myself, they are more like a toy but they really work the soil. I hear that the #1 problem with them is ppl leaving gas in the tank when they are done. That's what I have been told several times.

do you mean leaving the gas in over the winter? i'm going to bring it into my bedroom this winter just kidding. we were worried that it wouldn't have enough power but it really does... i love it more every day.

That's great Jeanette. We've been talking about getting a mantis as well. Sounds like it would be really handy.

Jeanette....sumpin missin here...what is it... I have had several weedeaters with similiar engines Jeanette. the one I am using now, the cheapest weedeater they make, it's 9 years old, every fall I dump the fuel, run it till it's out of fuel, choke it, start it again till it dies...it's good to go till next year. the carb has a diaphragm that gets "hinky" if the fuels left in it.

Here's a tiller that always starts right back up in the spring, no matter what condition I leave it in the fall.

At any rate , dat's why da weeds are winning da battle .

I work it up in the spring with the plow and disc, and it's all hoe, hoe, hoe from there on out. It's good exercise and it gets me in close to my plants at a pace that lets me see what's going on with them.
