We need rain so bad. Everything is drying up. The grass is turning brown and the garden has slowed down and starting to dry up. But the main thing is we have natural spring water and it is low. We are not out of water but we are using very sparingly. City water is supposed to be here next wk. It is already up to like a mile down the rd so hopefully, we will get it soon. But in the meantime, we need rain. Oh, and we got electric in our new trailer today.

I like my well water a lot better.

bscamo, I agree with you, I like my spring water much better and we plan to keep a line run to get our drinking and cooking water. But we need the city water for washing and bathing and etc.

We've not been too bad this year, but last year it was so dry that even though we are on rural water, they told everyone to use as little as possible.
I sure do miss my well water - the kind we had back in WI and MN. The well water in our area is not considered safe for elderly or infants to drink, and turns everything yellow. I still would like to get our well working as backup for the garden and livestock.
The best thing about being on the water system is we still have water when the power goes out.
