Yesterday morning started off like it has been..Hot and Humid
Laura left for work, I started the mower...then, she called, said she was in a wall of rain.
Next she called and was on the shoulder of the road, raining so hard she could not see where she was driving.
The winds shook the old car from side to side.
I can only imagine how scared my darling wife was...the phones went out, a tower was struck...
Straightline winds from 60-84 mph. were hitting that area...
Once she could, she drove on through the small town of Medford.
Little did she know...
that coming Back through Medford...would NOT be possible!
The winds hit Medford, leveling trees, powerlines....
Just AFTER (thank God) Laura went through...
The Storm had passed Medford...
Then, It HIT HERE!!
Mid storm, my cell phone rings..thinking it was Laura, I answered...
A Female voice, I didn't recognize was saying:
Phil, that you, TORNADO SITED at MOLAND...
(Moland is 1 mile from us, population...bout three houses)
Better go to the basement...well, I didn't, I'm a phool most likely...but would hate the basement to be my last sceanery before death....
later found out it was the neighbor lady callin...
Pholks, I can't tell you how, or why, but all the ancient, crooked, gnarled trees here...
WITHSTOOD the winds...
We had a limb land DEAD ON Laura's Zuchinni...But, even it will make it I believe...
Corn, the patch we been pickin, down on the ground...
the new patch, just maturing...6 stalks down...
Peppers, heavy from rain, fell over, but they are fine....
My Purty onions...well, the tops arre for sure bent over now...
Meanwhile, Back Near Medford...
Just after the rain, and during the wind...
A corporate Jet for Viracon, Crashed..

Much was lost, from Western Minnesota, clear to the southeastern Mn. border...But nothing as tragic as this.
Mother Nature, so odd, less than a mile south, corn fields laid over, leaves ripped off soybeans, trees busted over...
it just went south of us...
Thank You God...For watching over Laura, Myself, and Our lil Pharm
Sympathy and prayers to the families of those lost in the crash.
NOTE: FIXED THE LINK...
