Thanks Bscamo for even more true stories from the pages of probably never to be projects. It shows how vulnerable we are. And I need to look for the stuff you mentioned. I have known bout the water injection for a long time but haven't ever put one together. I need to reapply myself and figure it out. And nother thing, Hugh ain't no nice guy, you are right on that for sure.

nd , I just stumbled onto this . I thought it was interesting. www.rbbi.com/folders/fuel/a-21.htmWater injection can even be installed in on most of the newer fuel injection systems. The toughest part is finding a slightly lower mounting point in the engine compartment. Heck , even mice find it difficult to find room to crawl around in today's engine compartments ! Water introduction point would be at the vacuum port on the intake manifold where the fumes from the brake system are sucked off. BUT , that port MUST be centrally located on the manifold for proper water/fuel mix.

That's very interesting Bscamo, thanks. A man in Santa rosa, CA. somewhere manufactures electric cars that have a range of 100+ miles between chargesin 2 or 4 seats. White plastic cars that I thought I heard go for bout 10,000. They are great for ppl in small towns. Now where did I stash that 10,000? lol I have trouble finding anything about it on the web.

Well now ain't that special. Gas just went to 5.07 Friday. Oh by the way, on the news today they said when you buy a gallon of gas you are not even getting a gallon in hot weather. It expands like steam when heated and the government measures gas at 60* so go figure. I guess ice cream expands too cause it weighs less now but least they tell you that lol. Have a nice day.

Here's the real kicker, without getting too political one party wants to raise the gas tax .10 now that the price has actually gone down a little. It was explained that the tax funds the highway fund which they use for their earmarks. Now that ppl have eased up on their usage the fund has gone way down. There won't be enough money for next year's earmarks so they want to up the tax. Go figure.

In an article posted this AM regarding Hurricane IKE "With the storm's track taking it away from the bulk of 4,000 offshore platforms that produce about a quarter of U.S. oil supply, U.S. crude oil futures dipped as low as $100.10 a barrel on Thursday, the lowest level since early April. An yet the games continue

Gas went from $3.59 to over $5 here yesterday(well in Shallotte) and went up to(according to my neighbor) $7 in Whiteville. This is insane!! I'm going to a livestock/farm animal sale today.....I may look into a horse. I read on another forum where Saudi Arabia had pulled out of OPEC. Here is a link to the topic. OPEC article

Get ready for another increase....when 'DH went to the bulk plant to buy fuel for the truck today, the owner told him that the gas they have to buy just went over $5 a gallon for their price, and they will have to add onto that to just break even....
