Phamily, he is playin near me on Dec. 5th with Billy Bob Thorton as the opener........man, i wish i could go.........been years since i seen him live........sure wish the Outlaws were still around   Can anyone here remember the Willie Nelson Show on TV? Come on now....show yer age  |

Ah Willie Nelson!
When we lived in Selah, Wa. We were sheriff's posse and we had to patrol the State Fair Grounds in Yakima, Wa.
First night Dwight Yoakum was playing ..He stopped me on my horse and we were talkin' about her (my horse) then he asked if I want to see him singin' Boy I jumped on that offer! Heck with patrolling the fair grounds!
Next night Willie Nelson was playing! He too, stopped me on my horse and asked if I wanted to sit in on his concert! Hey two free concerts in two nights, Boy did I feel lucky! Should played the lottery! Best concerts I've ever seen!
And I do remember Willie Nelson's TV show! Love the movie "Red Headed Stranger" too Great movie!
I do remember the outlaws too! Think I wore out the CD!

Where is this Cavey? My favorite Christmas album is by Willie Nelson. My Daddy loved him.

Welp.....(leaning back in his chair and putting thumbs in his galuses) I remember when Willie had The Red-headed Stranger record out the FIRST time. Musta been 1957 or thereabouts. Some little girl called the local radio station and requested they play it for me. Kinda wish I could remember her, lol.
