Well I was given a newer Dell by my son with 2 gigs of mem and is a 2.4 and way better than this old hp with 128 mem and get it home andit won't go online. So I'm told to get drivers for the modem which is unreconized and still nothing. Then it says it needs service pack 2, I have disc for 1. I'm told by computer guy at school files are missing. So he and connection support say to download it which I do and load(try) onto other puter. It says something bout virtual driver failed DLL iniatizalion*(bad spelling good lord lol). Being basically fix-it illiterate I didn't tell the story in sequence but in the end teck support said I can't fix it and it needs to go to the shop. My son and his friend put it together and did some give and take on the parts so I don't knowwhat they did for sure. Bottom line, I have a whiz bang puter but probably have to wait for spring and more work to be able to fix it. But aint all bad, lots of mem, a real good video card and two dvds, writer and rw so now I'm waiting for spring planting and greener puter pastures. lol Sorry to be so long winded but "tech illiterate" lol

Thanks Jeanette, I might give them a call. This was someone else's before I had it but they might be a help. This could be some fairly simple thing but to non-puter nerds like myself there is no "simple" problem lol. There is a new puter man in town but so far no one knows him. I'm gonna treat him like a new version of windows till I find out what is is really about. Glad you got something that sprints, fast is definately a good thing.
