Well you asked!!! We lost our Malay roo to a Hawk this spring late but I have some of his youngsters on the ground and in breeding pens now. That is one of his daughters in my avitar. My three moms just hatched out 9 littles the other day and they are doing great even though the temp has been up to 115degF. The wife just made a deal for a little Palimino filly that will come home sometime in Dec. bringing her horse count up to 5, 1 gelding, 3 studs, 1 filly. We are going to put the old gelding in with the filly and he will keep everything out of the pen and protect her just like a herd stallion would. We are all that Sundance will let into the pen. We had an old,30+ Arabian gelding here for about a year and he passed in late spring, Diablo was his name, I went out one day and he was laying down, not on his side or anything he still had his feet under him so I told the wife to come say her goodbyes. Sure enough he passed sometime during the night. I buried him in the pasture under some trees. I would like to think that his last year was a good one as he ran and played with the colts and got to spar with the youngsters. Aside from that everything is going well. The wife and I got re-certified as NPIP testers for poultry and I've got my show stock seperated for the fall shows, yep overall life is good!
