This guy I work with has been bugging me to take this dog. ( I don't want another dog). Anyway he kept on and on, finally said they were going to leave it on the side of the road. I said no don't do that I will take it.... ( SUCKER!!!) It is a Chinese Crescent. It seems to be sooooo cowed. I think It has been mistreated. He says they made it stay in a room by itself! It was filthy. It vomited in my car on the way home after I get it here it craps on my carpet, and it has worms !! I was totaly wigged. He is now in quarantine. He has had a shot and worm medicine. I do not want him around my dog or puppies. He has no hair so outside is out of the question. He is pitifully cute if the least bit of attention is paid to him. But he is a high maintenance dog and I cannot keep him. Nor am I home enough to spend that much time with him. Yeah I know he is a valuable dog but not to me. He will be gorgeous with some tender loving care...But right now he needs some help. Anyway, anybody want him??

Oh that is so sad. Why oh WHY do people get dogs like that and then do not take care of them? (or any animal for that matter). If you have some kind of thing like a "swap shop" or "Trading time" or one of those free papers that you can advertise in for free, you can probably advertise him to give to a good home and there is always someone who will take him. I sure hope it works out. I had my Maltese for 15 years. She required a lot of upkeep. You really have to love them to take care of them.

Ok , called around and my Aunt has a friend who wanted him. ( yay! ) They came got him this morning. The woman already had 2 small dogs so he should fit right in. She said her dogs had been mistreated before she got them so he should fit right in. He was cute and had the potential to be really cute but I just don't have the time. I think he is in a good home.

Hey ST, I'm glad that worked out for both of you. As soon as I started reading your post I asked hubby if he wanted it; he was eye-balling one of those dogs just this morning! But it was a FAST and flat out NO in reply. Even if it was free!!! So I was glad to read on and see he already has a home. It is a shame that ppl do that, take animals they just go ahead and mistreat. I HATE that!

Goodness, sounds like they didnt take care of that poor dog at all. Even if you hadnt taken it, they could have at least taken it to a shelter instead of leaving it on the side of the road! Of course I reckon that is expecting too much out of a person who didnt take care of the dog to begin with. A sad story with a happy ending nonetheless. Good to know that dog will be alright now. I have found that people can and will post giving a dog away on Freecycle a lot. Someone always takes the dog, cat, or whatever it may be. Anyway, its good to know there was a happy ending for that poor dog, thanks to you!
