Whoever put whoever is in charge of changing that sign should be whipped with a wet noodle.. Gas prices are up again and now over 3 bucks a dang gallon. Just because of the war, just because of rising costs, phooeee we don't dang care a rat's behind. This is getting down right ridiculous,,, It takes 14 bucks to cut the lawn........ It now costs almost 12 bucks to drive to town and back.... wife costs 13 bucks a day to drive to work and back.... I ain't touched the weedeater in weeks, cost to much.... The four wheeler ain't been started.... The buddies fishing boat costs twenty bucks for a trip down the river. Where will it all end.... Remember syphon hoses.... I swallowed so much gas in the last two weeks I could of drove around the block.... I now declare myself a bonifide gas advocate. If it's gassy I will comment.... shhhh's What can the simple folk do....

We have that here, the last time I noticed it was $2.89 gallon. But I do notice I dint get the gas mileage outta the Ethanol like I do the regular unleaded. Dang, ya'll must drive alot of miles to work. Da Axeman fills his truck with $70.00 each week and thats only a half tank. He never lets it get below 1/2 full. I can drive 2 weeks on a tank, not far for me to drive to work and I come home every day for lunch. Anybody know of a good buggy and horse for sale, that might be the way we have to go, but of course we would have to get up way before the butt crack of dawn! Its hard enough now to get up at 4:30! Somebody someone is making money on da gas! They say that we have the oil here in the good old USA but no refineries to make it. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to know, "Duh, build more refines"!

$2.84 here today. Geez that's ONLY $240.00 a month jus ta go to work! Hydrogen technology has only been around for 60 years! Politicians & the oil companies (one and the same) don't want to see it happen. 2/3 of the eaths surface is H2O and the only by product of using Hydrogen is MORE H2O Well DUH!

Gas is around $3.17-$3.25 a gallon here; at least I got a job closer to home now. Only fill up once every 2 weeks instead of twice a week! As for my husband mowing the lawn, well, it's been raining so much he hardly has a day where he can mow!
I just saw a program where they are using soybeans to make diesel fuel; can't we do something like that for regular fuel?

The whole ethanol thing and it's technology have been around for a while. I remember back in the seventies when that oil embargo thing was on, Our gas companies developed Gas-a-Hol... it was made from corn, Anybody else remember this?
Well when the oil embargo was lifted and we started to get oil from abroad again, the Gas-a-Hol disappered.... What would we have done if we kept using that stuff, maybe the skys wouldn't be so black over certain cities., huh?
I personally cannot work anymore, but I do have to see doctors in Nashville a few times a month, It's only an 88 mile trip but both ways thats 20 bucks.
Something has to be done. I thought about asking the local government to do something about taxes on each gallon. Down here there are little stickers on the gas pumps stating that we pay 38 cents a gallon in taxes. Can't this be absorbed in a diffrent way instead of by the consumer ?
If Americans banded together wouldn't our voice be heard. !
Sure the ethanol thing will help us in the long run, will it survive? But what happens to the poor farmer who is paying $2.89 a gallon for off road diesel.... Can he plow his fields, spray, water and weed, and harvest to support that $7.00 a bushel ? Let alone pay somebody to haul that to be refined?
Something definatley has to be done !

I saw a segment on TV the other day about an electric car! The thing can go 85 mph, but not more that about 250 miles at a time, then you have to plug it in!
I think steam engines make the most sense.

Electric cars have been around for awhile, but they are limited in distance, then need to be recharged. And thier price is way up.
Thinking about buying the mule down the road, and getting a buggy. No lie. That would get me to the local store down the road, and be able to visit the neighbors.

Every gas pump in Iowa has "Gas-a-hol" but its still only a 10% mix of ethanol (made from corn) and 90% gasoline. I'm with the Tster in that the mileage is not as good with the ethanol blend and it's one to two cents per gallon HIGHER than straght 87 octane gas! No savings there.

Gas is now up to an all-time high of $3.19!!! This totally sucks. The $3.19 is in Louisville, I was there yesterday, and it's not far from me. Elizabethtown usually follows suit with the prices of gas, so I'm sure it'll be there this week, maybe tomorrow. Right now here it's $2.98....I can see it going higher within the next couple of days. YIKES-A-MIGHTY!!!! This is soooo unnecessary and uncalled for. There is no reason whatsoever for the prices to be this freakin' high. @&^%!#*!!!!! That's what I gotta say about that.

Here locally is at $2.87, 20 min. up the road its $2.99 for the cheap stuff. Look for it to go up real soon. Maybe even this morning. The Oil companies don't care as long as they are making all this profit, it ain't gonna get no better. The President isn't gonna do nothing, he's making to much money, why would he cut his own throat I mean pocketbook. Its gouging no matter how u look at it. Ain't go no choice but to pay it if ya gonna work. Whats poor folks suppose to do? We're not in the poor house, but not made of money by no means but we're seeing other bills having to be put aside at times just to pay for gas. Its BS! trudy
