we got a call from our daughter around 2 this afternoon, and a tree fell on her car at the school where she works. Its her first brand new car, she got it the end of June. Poor thing, the tree smashed her hood, windshield and the roof of the car. Then, our son who is here visiting from Florida took hubby back to work in HIS car, (that he just got in July but it was used) and they discovered his transmission is going out!!! So, he thought he was going home to Florida again on Sunday, but with the tranny coming out of his car on Thursday evening, chances are lookin' slim on that happening.

So sorry to hear about your DD new car! I hope she is looking into the school having insurance to pay for the damages! Also sorry to hear about your son's car! We are thinking about buying a used truck, but now after hearing about your son's car..I'm having second thoughts about buying used!

Sorry to hear that DAP, not to sure what else to say. I'm sure the school has insurance for such occasions.

Ahhh, thanks all! They will all be fine, it was just weird that both of them would have their cars go down within hours of each other!!!

Oh DAP, I feel for the kids!! We all LOVE our vehicles! How wierd that it would happen to both of them all at once like that!

Isn't that the truth? We always used to keep an extra car when the kids were in HS, but once they were out on their own it seemed like such a waste to be paying the insurance and tags. I bet they wish we had it now!!
