Folks move to the country out of the urban areas and then complain about the smell from farms with lvestock. Now they want to complain about combine dust We won't combine and they won't eat.

well the only time you CAN combine beans is when it is really dry.. as far a livin on gravel, you adjust.. yeah i can't hang clothes outside, and i have to keep the windows shut on busy days..
there is no good way that i can see to control this... to quote something said to me by an old farmer years ago
"just another jab in the A**"

i couldn't agree more... nothing personal city folk, but i think town stinks... i'd rather smell manure, (cept maybe chicken poo) than the smells that come out of a city... the sewers, the factories, the garbage etc..
bean dust happens a few weeks out of every year.. not 24/7.. as far a gravel roads.. well, let the EPA pay to have them paved.. i don't think a clean car would break my heart at all..

My drive is gravel .... OK a few gravel, mostly my neighbors top soil. He plows out to the edge and the rain washes his field into my road which washes into my uncles pond. Nobody wants to come to my house cause the road is bad and they get their car dirty. ( Which is not always a bad thing). For the county to pave the drive (2200 ft ) I have to pave first time to their specs and sign surety bond ( $40 a foot) then they will possibly make it a county road. Nevah mind !!! A clean car would be nice. But I got dust in the summer and mud in the winter. But I'm OK with that. Every body else seems to have a problem with it.. hee hee

since we farmers do in fact own the road.. ;D ;D i suppose we'll have to pay.. i read on the gold eagle coop site that these regulations won't be imposed on farmers or ranchers... at least for now..

Gidday
Well I don't know whether I should just laugh at ewe jokers and all this talk, or should I just cry. That sorta crap is happening here too. But I suppose that ewe jokers have to put up with it too does not make it funny though.

Well the wind is blowing 45mph here today and I saw the dustcloud long before the wind hit. Im afraid that in the sandhills today there will be many acres of wheat uprooted and killed.

If the government could make a dollar controlling the wind they would charge us for it. It is ALWAYS about the money.
