by upper 90's they mean 99 accual degrees, these high temps are frying our already water deprived crops.. my garden looks bad too, i have been watering some but, beings it's so dry here we are worried about the well..

i've been thinking about it for awhile anyway now that bethany is older.. however, i truely believe that kids need a parent at home. especially when they are teens... coarse jerry's around if anything were to happen, and if we don't have anything to harvest, he'll be here....

You are right teens do need a parent at home!
I am a true believer in that!
Most think it's the "wee ones"that need the parents, but in MHO, it's the teens that need us at home!

oh yes Dap we sure did.. we ended up with over 5 inches, no wind or hail damage thank-fully... the crops, my garden, and flowers just exploded into new life!!

we picked up a little more last night.. i heard there was some bad stuff down south and east of us...

we had a whower down here but been so dry the ground is cracking. we are in bun bans and have been for the past month. We are in a drought situation right now. If we think we are bad you should hear about Oklahoma. Theya re saying that it is lke the dust bowl of years gone by.... are we repeating that ??lord I hope not.

Yep is starting to get really bad here in Ok., I noticed today that some of the spring-fed creeks are starting to get very low. That is never a good sign. But we are getting some spotty rains every now and then.

The gardens here shot craps early due to the heat, several 100+ days in May. I think that the eastern half of Kingfisher Co. where we are is the only spot that hasn't gotten some rain recently. Even the Johnson grass is burning up. We have a state wide burn ban because of the wildfires. According to the weatherman we are down 17ins this year not counting the 27 ins from last year. Oddly enough the surface moisture is fair but it is the deep moisture that we need.
