Thought I would share a picture of the barnswallow babies that flew off last month. It sure was neat to go out every morning and see the parents swooping in and out feeding all those hungry little mouths. I even got to see a few take flight for their first time as the parents coaxed them on. This is int he corner of the front porch at my house. I told Ian we arent knocking it down because I heard as long as the nest isnt damaged they will use it again. They are pretty little birds to watch.

We used to have them in the barn and out buildings when I was a kid in WI. They are cool birds, I always enjoyed them. They sure love dem flying bugs. They sure are messy on the porch though!

We've got alot of em round here. They fly right at ya when you're cutting the grass to get all the bugs you stir up.

I have sat for hours watching swallows flit around, they help keep skeeters down too! They will also run hawks off.
