From time to time you may need to step away from your computer and want to keep it out of the hands of others. One way to do that is to "lock" it so that you'll have to log back on in order to use it.
There is a very easy way to do this. Just hold down the Windows key and then press the letter L. That's it! Your computer is locked. To go back to work, just click on your user account.
In order to make this work, you'll have to add a password to your user account so that no one else can get in.
Just click on Start and then open Control Panel. Now open User Accounts and click on the account you want to add a password to. Click on Create a password, enter your password twice. You can create a password hint to remind you of what your password is, buy anyone who uses your computer can see the password hint.
