Heres Forest and choo choo, they pick at your ears when they want attention We hatched them both a few years back and had a total of seven birds so I pulled the nest box out and said thats it

Brings back memories. Growing up I had parakeets. One was so tame we would let him out of his cage during the day and he would fly to my parents bedroom, sit on one of the hurricane lamps, look at himself in the mirror and talk to the other bird. At night he would fly back into his cage and sleep. We would put a towel over the cage to keep him quiet, or he would chatter all night. Another one would sit on my shoulder where ever I went in the house, and peck at my ear. He would only do it to me. I could never hide from him. While I would do my homework he would be on my shoulder either pecking at my ear or chattering to me.

They are not that messy, just carry a rag wherever they fly We let them fly in the house during the morning and they use my head for a landing pad

We had a parakeet when the kids were small that I let have free reign of the house. One of my nieces came over though and held the door open for her younger sibling and out went Charley! Never saw him again! And he was a really good tame bird too.

They are so pretty, we use to raise a lot of birds many years ago. They can be messy, still have a yellow nape amazon thats 19 yrs old now. She loves my oldest daughter, so when she moved out I gave it to her. She will entertain you, talks pretty good to. trudy

I love those little birds! really cute pair! We have a cockateil, her name is Sasha. She terrorizes everyone, not even meaning too. Poor Mazda (my bantam roo, house chicken) moves away from her as she hops and sings to him til she runs him off the back of the couch, and as you can see here, she is torturing the cat, standing on him! All my animals for whatever reason seem to coexist without killing each other. Guess they know better, or Mama will get after them!

That bird has no fear! The cat wanted to be in the sun, and he wasn't about to give up his spot, so he just tolerated her stomping on him. She is a very obnoxious bird, she will goup to the poor dog and yank on her face whiskers! That bird hates me, she loves Ian, my husband.
