I think they turn green and brown, all depends on where they are

According to the Native Americans frogs were the ones who brought the rains with their songs. You are especially blessed if you provide them with water and a home. They help with the ceaning of our planet so to speak.

Boy, I'm with you deb! We have 10 acres here, and let me tell you, it is beautiful with all the birds during the day and the frogs and crickets sounding off at night, but we are within a mile of a busy interstate and we hear the roar of the road 24/7. I thought I'd zone it out after a while, but it's been 7 weeks and I still hear it!

After awhile, you will be so accustomed to the noise it will slowly filter itself out...

DAP, don't feel bad. I am about 2 blocks from a train track. It is ok as long as the engineer does not blow the horn at night. Sometimes the house shakes when there are multiple engines or it is a long train.

Yep, we got the train too, but it isn't that close...it runs right by the interstate. It doesn't rattle the house tho. My daughter has the train right across the street from her place. Her place rattles!!!

When I was a kid, we lived across the street from train tracks. For the 1st year I would wake up at the 2:00am train, but then after that frist year, I never even heard the trains. Now we live on a busy high way with logging trucks been here for 6 years, there are some trucks yoa hear and then there are some that you don't even pay no mind to. But it never really goes away!

I used to live next to a big switching yard, near Detriot. They shipped cars there(what else) and the house would shake sumthin fierce when they were starting to move those 2 mile long trains. 3 or 4 engines at once!!!!

Last year, I put out little clay pots, that weren't any good for plants anymore, for the frogs aound here. We had a few that moved in.
