Da Honey and I have two cedar trees way down front. The smallest one was between 5 and 6 feet tall, and perfectly shaped. The other one is about 12 to 15 feet tall and closer to the house. Over the weekend, despite the "No Trespassing" signs, some low down varmint decided to steal the smaller tree. If they had asked, we probably would have given them the tree. It's just the thought of thievery that makes it hard to keep evil thoughts out of our heads. With my health problems, Da Honey and I both do our best to keep the yard maintained. We had babied this tree two years ago, fertilized it and removed another tree right next to it that was sapping its growth. We were going to use it as our first "real" Christmas tree next year. Oh well, I hope whoever stole it has a very Merry Christmas. I didn't even bother calling the Sheriff's Department, because there's really nothing they could do except make a report. It just brought out a little of the Grinch in both Da Honey and I....

Sorry to hear about this, its like you say. Many times it don't matter that much but its just the thought that it was yours and not theirs for the taking. I hope you have a very happy, merry Christmas anyway, I'm allowed to say that ain't I lol? Your heart is in the right place though if you would even consider, after the fact, that you might of given the tree to someone else. Especially when you had your own plans for it. God will bless you for it in time.

The nerve of who ever stole your tree! That is so Wrong! Sorry to hear about your tree being stolen! Makes one wonder: How the thief can even have a "Merry Christmas" after stealing a tree from someone property!

It's gonna be a little tougher to steal ornaments for it. I hope!

And maybe a hidden cam corder to record the incident. That way it can be posted here for all of us to enjoy. Also you will have proof for court, if it goes that far.

Or do like the tree farms have to do with trees by the road, spray them with skunk essence. If they smell it they won't cut, if they don't smell it at least it will stink up their house when they take it inside where it's warm.....

May their light on the tree short out and singe their gifts. Yeah I'm vengeful, so what?

That is really sad. I couldn't enjoy a stolen tree. I am sorry that this happened to you.

Stuff like that (tree stealing) happens everywhere I guess. There is a grocery store here with a row of pine trees (white pine) along one edge of the parking lot. When they were 8-10 feet high somebody cut one of them off a week before Christmas. It looked bad and it was an un-sheared white pine! Probably the thinnest, ugliest tree you could find, stolen or not. Anyway, today I was there at the store and noticed it has grown a new leader and altho it's shorter than the others in the row, it's trying. But every year when I see it, it reminds me of the thief, and it's Christmas, I don't wanna think about that.
