It's going to be a fairly low key Christmas this year, but all the same I'm sure we will still enjoy it. We usually end up playing cards or dominoes during the evening and the TV stays firmly off! ;D By the way, I didn't have the Christmas Card ready when I posted this but better late than never! ;D

Spruance, I haven't played dominoes in years, I used to all the time, maybe I should buy a new set of "bones" and see if I can still play! Axe, Bro, I sure hope the weathers good for Your trip Grannyg, sounds like our agenda...don't have any livestock now, but our herd of barn cats sit at the backdoor wanting imediate attention... OOB, bro, You and your honey gonna have a white Christmas?? if not I can send ya a lil snow(maybe a semi full for starters)

Christmas Eve, it will just be Maria and I Ken has to work. Maria and I will have some yummy snacks, and most likely watch "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer" for the million twentieth time!
For Christmas Day, Our oldest DD and her family will be here. We will have ham, mashed taters sweet taters, the green bean casserole, a fruit salad, and some cheese logs with crackers, and this really yummy cake that my daughter made for her daughter's birthday. It was so good we all want it again! Here's wishing everyone in the Phorum phamily a very merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and a very Happy and healthy New Year to you all.
We celebrate Christmas on the 24th here in Germany. On the 25th we are off to FIL's who is 97 and his sister who is a youngest at 93!! We cook for them there. They squabble as only sisters and brothers can do and the journey back in the car is so lovely and quiet.
26th is eating up all the rest of the goodies and deciding how to get the excess pounds off the hips again...
Make it a good one all of you.

Well I hope all had a very merry and safe Christmas. Sounds like alot of you had the same as us, just me and her and the snow, snow, snow. Nice and quiet and warm. That really all its cracked up to be. So everybody get ready to have a great new year and Phil, hardly anybody plays dominoes any more. Too bad, a great fun time it was. Be safe and happy all.

Phil, hardly anybody plays dominoes any more. Too bad, a great fun time it was. Be safe and happy all. Exactly Nd, no one takes the time for such things anymore... thats whats went wrong with the world...I believe That since I know I really ain't gonna go on a diet we already stopped smoking way back and I always try to have "good will towards mankind" That My New Years Resolution may be just that...(thats gotta be lots easier than some new years resolutions)Take time at least once a week to do something simple, low tech and phun ... Play a game, read a book, just what ever... I like what Cavewoman said in another thread about shutting everythang electrical off, and enjoying some oil lamp time... This makes sence in many ways, Bonding with family, traveling via printed word, learning yer not so good at cards, dominoes, whatever... and the bonus Kicker is...ya save a phew Bux$$ on electricity I, for one, would find it quite amuzing that if on ... Oh lets say Sunday evening, the electric companies, internet providers and the Big TV networks went B-ZERK tryin to figure ifin something was wrong with their danged equipment!! Maybe ifin a whole buncha pholks did this sorta thang we could start a trend... maybe some pholks already have...I think I'll join em! And even If ya opted not to sit and read by candle/lamp light...just enjoy sometime with yer loved ones, or a good book.... Ya might just phind out sumpin about yerself, yer spouse or Youngins... !

Well Now, you mean for Once My Cavey didn't write a BIG Speil about Christmas or About anything... I think I'm gonna faint.. He occupied the Computer ALL Day so as No one else could get on here so I figured he was Typing a Bunch of Hoopla on this board about our Christmas. Oh well I guess I was wrong, For a Change Seeing How The Ole CaveWoman is Always Correct... HAHA Anyways, Here's a Belated Christmas Wish to all here at the Pharm.. Our Christmas was celebrated with the Kids on the 24th as always in my Household.. Thats my tradition from when I was a kid and I guess I'm passing it on to our Young'uns. Even though My oldest Doesn't like it, She likes doing it Christmas Morning, So We said that can be her Family tradition But MaMaw isn't changing Mine. LOL Besides the kids don't like to wait.. LOL We had all the Fix'ins for a good meal.. We ha: Roastbeef and Taters, Carrots and Celery: Augratin Potatoes with Ham: Some Italian, Baked Ziti: And My Famous Sauce with Italian Sausage, Country Style Ribs and Chicken Parm Pieces in there also, which is really just Italian Breaded Chicken Cutlets. Looks as good as it tasted. Yummy. As for Christmas day, after all was said and done Cavey, Me and the Critter had a nice pieceful day at home alone playing with all the Critters toys.. Now today on the other hand will be another Big cooking day celebrating with the Cavey's Brother and Sister whom are coming for a visit. So Whats on todays Menu, Well, we'll have some Ham, Mashed Taters, greenbeans from the Garden, Some Stuffing, Some Fresh Sweet Taters and some Brussel Sprouts that I forgot to make on Christmas eve, and I won't hear the End of it until they are made.. Yummy yummy again right.. Oh yeah and some Key Lime Pie for dessert.. So thats our Holiday.. Busy busy busy.. So for now this is the Ole CaveWoman signing off. Have Fun, Stay Safe and For now, Good Evening.. LOL Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all too.. The CaveWoman

Oh yummy looks so good Cavewoman! I like the idea of being "unplugged" My oil lamps are filled and ready for a storm, but I'll be using my lamps more, and the electric off.....mostly the TV! I think we are scrappin' our DishTV come January. We'll be savin' $95.00 to put on our snowball debt!
