Jack: I have read some news about that a few months ago but it was more in the context of protecting Monsanto's interest in GMO seed, it seams they are trying to sneak in a more extensive bill to control the market. Not Good!!

Jack! This is a scarey proposition and just one more step in the process of complete control of the masses in order to implement the "One World Government". I've followed this issue for years now and short of a complete revolution, the "big money" are set to pull this off! Here is just one article on the "Bilderberg" group. Something we all should be aware of. www.theinsider.org/news/article.asp?id=0369

Gidday Democracy sure are dead now Eh! Jack: Since you posted this information I have done a small amount of research, about seeds and gardening as it were. First off Monsanto isn't the only one trying to stop people from having access to growing food crop. The feds are also trying to do this threw the USDA when requesting seeds for trials. They want to restrict this to breeders only and exclude all other gardeners from these trials, the misuse of power is all over the AIG markets. I could on about the Organics program and the price gouging of Organic products by producers and or manufactures. Greed and the misuse of power in governing positions is a tremendous problem. If you want to start some sort of seed and or AIG watch/ Alert. I would be glad to do this with some other interested parties on this site....we would have to have Phils permission of course, but that's up to those of you that may be interested. This is not something that I would be willing to do on my own as I have limited time to devote to something like this....I'm not saying I wouldn't be willing to spend some time on this, it's just that I have so many other personal matters to deal with that my time is limited.

That guy reminds me of a Que Ball with ears. Lately I have found that dealing with government at any level is like pushing a car up a hill with a rope. Most of these people are useless bodies placed in positions of responsibility that they are not qualified for, they do nothing other then to add to the problem. People need to organize into large groups to affect change, find people that are qualified for these positions and support them. Get rid of these big money jerks that are beholding to Banks, Oil and Wall street. Not that we don't need these Organizations...we do. But we need people that are honest and qualified to oversee that they are not braking the law or ethics of good honest business. We need to stop letting the Fox watch the Hen house. This is no BS people. We are headed for disaster in this country, there is far to much dishonesty in Government today, Instead of all of us complaining about it we have to take an active role in change. Quit excepting these lame ass results and demand that they do there job NOW!! We have a president that is a better preacher then a true leader, he's a frigging car salesman. Can anyone see that other then ME! And they voted for this guy God help us! I get so frustrated with the present situation and hearing everyone complain, but no one is willing to get off there ass and do anything....Just lip service! I'm pissed now so I have to shut my mouth before I offend to many people. Tell ya the truth I feel like this is a waist of time.

'Now Congressman Henry Waxman wants to give the FTC even more powers by allowing the FTC to write its own laws without Congressional approval. This would allow a rogue agency to simply invent any new law it wants'
Dont they already do this at agencies?
'This is how bad things have become in America today: The criminal CEOs of drug companies are allowed to commit felony crimes, engage in routine price fixing fraud and fix their research with fraudulent clinical trials, yet the FTC and FDA do nothing. But when an honest nutritional supplement company says something like, "Walnuts are good for your heart," they get threatened with imprisonment or have their entire life savings stolen away from them by the FTC through a series of "fines."'
Just crazy world isnt it?

Now as we all look at the most recent news of the disaster in the Gulf, there is a prime example of Governments lack of ability to police the oil industry and it's protecting the environment. We are faced with a irreversible disaster to the fishing industry in Louisiana...as if they have not suffered enough.
President Obama recently announced that he would be signing a bill to conduct off shore drilling from Delaware to Florida, What the hell is wrong with this man. We have been begging for alternative use of energy such as solar, and thermal as well as hydrogen. Instead he wants to continue using up a fuel source that is none renewable. This is the type of thinking that will eventually destroy us all. A leader that is short sited with no balls, just business as usual rape and waist all of the natural resources and let the next generation pay for it.
I do not agree with this mans way of thinking nor his political parties way of solving our problems, spend, spend, spend. waste, waste, waste.

JC, you're absolutely correct in the manner needed to get through to these azzholes in Washington. It all starts with the VOTE, if ya don't vote, don't bitch. And as for the voices, correct again. We need an ORGANIZED statement by ALL parties who have had enough of this big government, big money crap. We need to pound these idiots with the views of the masses so decisively that it looks like a denial of service attack on a major server. If these dumbasses refuse to uphold the views of the people they were sent to Washington to represent, then we need to kick their asses out of office and put them on the unemployment roles and give them a taste of the real world. Maybe 200,000,000 write in votes of "NONE OF THE ABOVE" would get through to these idiots.

Instead he wants to continue using up a fuel source that is none renewable Hydrogen must be God's special gift to us but we have been too dumb to realise it. It is the main component in every form of energy. Oil is only hydro-carbons. And hydrogen is two thirds of water and the other third is oxygen is all thats needed to use that power. Just look, they bloody drive up into space using water, hydrogen and oxygen. Several people have made cars to run on water alone but they have either run off with millions of bucks or met a sticky end.

Jack: First I have to say....and I mean this in a good way. You are a good shit stirrer! However we need people like you that keep the rest of us up to date and paying attention. Ya know that story about GM. When that AH did the first TV commercial, me and Ruth were sitting listening to the local news, and then this commercial came on. I was screaming at the frigging TV saying " You lying Bastard"!!! But the SOB didn't hear me. Anyway that is a great example of how corporate America puts a twist on the facts in order to fool the general public. Goldman Sacks CEO is trying to do the same thing on TV's Cable stations that handle the financial news like CNN, and CNBC. try to Baffle people with BS. Axeman made a good point when he said we should have 200mil voters write in on the ballots none of the above. This country is becoming a country just for the rich no middle classes. Either rich or poor that's it!! Let the rich get richer and the poor pay the price of running the system with higher taxes.

We can make 300mph trains(whatever it is) running on electric power, but cant figure a way to make a viable electric car? We can send probes out of the Solar System but cant make a battery? Hogwash,we had that battery in the EV-1 electric almost 20 years ago????Given to an oil company and now shelved??!! The cost argument is a no brainer. They make those puppies pretty much by hand,of course they cost a bazillion dollars.Make 100 million a year in high speed manufacturing plants the cost is very reasonable. I can go on and on why an electric car is possible, but its pointless. Wind? Free, blows in area's constantly. We have a ton in CA,now Texas going crazy on it. We need more of THAT,lots more, and the costs are reasonable. We have very good results with our solar and wind here in CA. In fact our solar is THE most reliable plants on our grid! And when they pumped up energy costs our rates went thru the roof. But the solar costs remained fixed!Already paid for.Sun doesnt shine? They also have nat gas backup to run em! Yup,we can do better than the status quo,and we are making progress, slowly, but its happening. Alt energy works,is safe,is green and IS cost competitive.I live it in CA with our plants, they are AWESOME!

spuds: CA has always been the initiator of alternate energy and clean air, trouble is the rest of the country has been making fun at what was then 30 years ago. The time for us all to have followed in there footsteps instead of calling names like Flower Children and Hippie wackos. The need for alternate energy was seen in the early 70s with the gas crunch, that's when the government was promising us that there would be stricter regulations on auto manufacturers. Bull It never happened, so now we are in a shit storm because of the lazy ass people in this country to stooped to see that we needed change then. Instead they trusted government and big business to do it for there lazy ass. I'm pissed at government because they just don't care But I'm more pissed at the people for doing nothing about governments lack of doing there job. They just lay there and take it.

Gidday Jack: First I have to say....and I mean this in a good way. You are a good shit stirrer! However we need people like you that keep the rest of us up to date and paying attention. Me a shit stirrer! Come on now. I am shattered to be called that. If you really believe that, well, how long did it take you to figure that out? Well, at least you are honest about it. Good onya mate. Anyway, I still reckon water is our answer. Pure, totally green, hydrogen plus oxygen equal lots of energy and the exhaust is still simply water, so nothing is lost. I remember here in New Zealand, about 40 or 50 years ago a joker had an old car that he converted to run on water. He drove it from New Plymouth to Auckland, over 220 miles, and back again with a car load of reporters following him and the only time he filled his gas tank he did it from a garden hose. It made great headlines in the papers then a few weeks later he was killed in a car accident. It was his other car but he did end up dead. His son, who inherited the car said he had been offered huge money for his invention, but he refused to sell it and a short time later ended up in another very bad car (accident). The car disappeared and nobody has ever heard from the son again. We have had three other stories that sounded very similar happen here, all reported in the papers at the time. One had a sorta good ending, a joker from Nelson had a car running on water, then said he had sold it for over 20 million and he dissapeared. Therefore I believe that it is possible to run a car on water and it does not please some people who make lots of money out of oil so iffin you figure out how to do it, shut up about it.

Jack: You have managed to start a post that is possibly the most interesting subject yet!! (For me that is). It is my opinion that most energy alternatives are brushed aside so big energy can rake in the Billions of dollars to satisfy there own greed, thinking this will last forever, or at least as long as they can imagine. The people in the entire world seam to plan everything threw a key hole in a box. They have no foresight as to the impact these things have on the future of our generations, and of course the world. It's frustrating as hell watching whats going on in the world every day, and it seams like no one cares enough to do something about it. Like the World economy, Energy consumption, Global warming, Political Conflict (War), Starvation, and so on.... and so on. And that is the root of the problem. We have screwed so much up, that it is overwhelming for any of us to concentrate our efforts so we can improve ourselves. I know what most will say. You start at the beginning. Well I say. Were is the beginning for all of us to agree upon?

Its up to us.Use Energy Star appliances,CF bulbs, that sort of thing. It helps. There are things we as consumers can do that are win win for energy and our pocketbooks.
I agree,we have to make changes too,not just mandate 'they' do.

Lets see we have Energy star appliances that we received rebates for. We have programmable Thermostat, Wood Burning air tight fire place that heats the house...with a catalytic converter as well. all lighting is compact florescent recessed lighting, water saver toilets, and shower heads. High sear AC, ceiling fans throwout the house to circulate heat and AC. Drip irrigation for the garden.
What I wish we had is thermal heating and cooling as well as solar panels for electric. But we do have a good start.
