So what did everyone have for Memorial Day dinner? We had steaks, asparagus, potato salad , noodle salad, water melon We also had some Dear Born Sausage, and Hot dogs Last night we had smoked Pork Loin and left over Poatato salad Tonight we "were going" to smoke a chicken but we opted to roast it because it is raining!! And cold out!! So it is roasted Chicken, Easy Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes, and Asparagus!! Yummy!! I know you'd think we weighed 1000 lbs by the way we eat lol .....

For Memorial Day I marinated chicken wings in my home made marinade and smoked them. Took them to my nephews BBQ. They were a big hit. I would tell everyone my recipe....but it's a secret. Truth is, I just concocted what I thought would be a good marinade for hot wings, and it turned out great. I really didn't measure anything. Basically it consisted of, Ketchup,brown sugar,hot sauce & smoked pepper flakes, rosemary, time,vinegar, and wousttasure sauce.....you know what I mean, can't spell that without it in front of me. OH and Garlic. I don't think I left anything out.

I love smoked cheese, and as you guys already said smoked anything is great. I left one ingredient out of my marinade it's soy sauce. Did I mention lemon juice? Well that too.

Last night I made some spaghetti!! Well Kinda! The sauce wasn't thick I made it home made from chopped up tomatoes Garlic Onion and mushrooms, Hubbs loved it !! I hade some burger not much and when I went to the store I bought some buffalo meat yummy!! I put mine over potatoes got me some lil purple taters!! They are so cute!! Hubbs had his over Spaghetti. I am supposed to start my new diet the 1st. Got a jump start!! So no more noodles and bread for me!! Thats ok I am not so about them anyway!

We had or I should say ..They had hot dogs and mac and cheese!! I had Hamburger and potatoes Of course there was chili and cheese for the top of the dogs!!

Looks wonderful ChiliFarmer!! Very wonderful!! We had Burgers and Cheesie Potatoes It was very good!! I made the Cheesie potatoes myself! Kids scarfed them right up after they said they didn't want any lol ... I always try to get them to try 1 small bite. Then if you don't want any thats fine!! Yea they tried 1 small bite and ate the rest lol ....

Today DH will grab a bite in town and so the kids and I will fix our own. I boiled up a 10 pound bag of chicken legs yesterday, and today I picked the meat off. I got enough meat and geletin for 4 meals, so I put enough meat baggies in the freezer for 3 meals and a pan of soup: Tonight I will make myself chicken and dumplings! DS says he would like some chicken but not any dumplings: we will see if DD would also like some chicken. If she does I will take the baggie of soup makings back OUT of the fridge so we will have enough meat! DD works, now, so she will not be back before dinner time. No matter: a baggie of chicken would re-heat in moments! DD lover her job as a cashier, and I believe she will not go back to college. DS is unemployed and so he is taking a couple of classes this summer, to see how good a "fit" college is for him. DD said she loved college but she made a mess of her school work: I think she loved the SOCIAL aspect of college! Which would explain why she loves working at a store, LOL! So, chicken n dumplins for me, chicken for DS, and who knows what DD will eat? ?

Tonight hubbs had BLT's I had a salad with bacon, tomato some really nice very dark lettuce!! Found a great store that sold alot of Organic stuff in Toledo!! Love that place!! I think Tomorrow I will have a baked potato with bacon and cheese yummy!!

We made a seafood combo the other night. Steamed some Alaskan crab, made my own broth with celery,onions,old bay,and black and tan bear,then I added about 1/4# butter. With the finished broth I steamed clams,with butter white wine shallots and garlic scapes, then I added shrimp. When they were done we cooked 1# of Linguine topped with the clams and shrimp. With the crab legs on the side. That lasted for two meals. It's seafood season here and we are going to Clam Town for some assorted clams and mussels, so I can make some homemade clams and mussels marinara. And some fradeavlo

We made a seafood combo the other night. Steamed some Alaskan crab, made my own broth with celery,onions,old bay,and black and tan bear,then I added about 1/4# butter. With the finished broth I steamed clams,with butter white wine shallots and garlic scapes, then I added shrimp. When they were done we cooked 1# of Linguine topped with the clams and shrimp. With the crab legs on the side. That lasted for two meals. It's seafood season here and we are going to Clam Town for some assorted clams and mussels, so I can make some homemade clams and mussels marinara. And some fradeavlo I could have that for breakfast

Made some Hamburger Patties out of some Angus meat I ground up last night, added some seasoning and formed them into 1/2 pound patties. Getting ready for the summer BBQ season. Wife is picking up some chicken whole and parts for smokin and BBQin We got 100 clams and 5# of mussels, and another 5# of steamers for tomorrows BBQ with some frends and family on the back deck. Going to put my son to work on the Grill while I smoke some meat. OH almost forgot we also have some homemade sausage I made a few weeks ago. Ruth loves smoked sausage. My son and our neighbor from two doors down are bring more clams and other stuff, I'm going to leave most of the work to those younguns.

We ended up making a melted butter Onion herb and crushed oisteret cracker stuffing with crab meat for the lobster. Then I sauteed Scallops and Shrimp in melted butter with white wine and capers. We steamed the corn, and had a feast. Just Ruth and I. We were stuffed!! 2706. This week Ill be working on smoked sausage and chicken.

We steamed the corn, and had a feast. Just Ruth and I. We were stuffed!! 2706. This week Ill be working on smoked sausage and chicken. I smoked 12 lbs cheese yesterday,and 2 pounds cream cheese. What kind of sausage,link or patties?

12 lbs huh? Great for you Spud!! I am trying to come up with a answer but I come up with a blank.. Maby some polish sausage Link altho Patties I think would absorb the smoke better , I think anyway
