We ended up making a melted butter Onion herb and crushed oisteret cracker stuffing with crab meat for the lobster. Then I sauteed Scallops and Shrimp in melted butter with white wine and capers. We steamed the corn, and had a feast. Just Ruth and I. We were stuffed!! 2706. This week Ill be working on smoked sausage and chicken. I smoked 12 lbs cheese yesterday, and 2 pounds cream cheese. What kind of sausage, link or patties? It's my own version of sausage Pork, bell pepper, garlic, salt, black pepper, cracked fennel. I smoked it with Hickory and Apple wood. Doing smoked center cut pork chops today. Hot as heck outside though. Goin up to 96° today it's already 81° now. Think Ill make some cervechi to cool down

We well Dave had tuna casserole , I had steak and taters and some veggies out of a frozen bag lol !! But hey he fell asleep after dinner. An old lady told me one time, if they fall asleep after dinner you know you fed them well. I am not sure if that is true or not , I just usually think he worked his hiney off all day! He ate and fell asleep! hahahaha He was just tuckered!

I was getting so good at making Pizza dough now with all this Celiac stuff I have to re~learn with new flours that don't really work as well as what I was using!! I do think KA has a Gluten free all purpose flour tho Yay!!

For lunch today I grilled salmon outside.
I watched a Martha Stewart cooking lesson today and she was cooking a piece of meat that she said cost $100.00 and would serve 8 people. I guess if you break it down per person it's only about $12.00 but I've never bought a $100.00 piece of meat. I've bought a bunch of steaks that totaled that but never one piece of meat.

Martha Stewart might be able to afford $100.00 cuts of meat, but it doesn't change the fact that she has a lousy personalty and she is a cheat. My opinion. Ruth and I eat very little beef, mostly Pork, and Chicken. When Ruth does buy meat, it's for chop meat to make patties, meatballs,or meatloaf. I worked in a family butcher shop many years ago so Ive gotten my fill of steak. Ruth went out and bought 2# of craw fish yesterday, so I'm going to steam them with some corn on the cob. Yesterday we had home made pizza with one of Ruth's girl friends, It was great. w8in4dave I use only KA flower for pizza, it's the Italian stile flower....it makes the crispest pizza dough I have found. I'm pretty sure they have gluten free flower, you should see if they have something that is like the Italian stile fine ground OOO.

For those of us who have eaten breads and pasta all our lives, anything other then that taste lousy. I know you can make pasta with potato and some types of bread also with potato. There are other gluten free ways of making pasta that will taste good just by adding seasoning. I'm one of the lucky ones that can eat anything.....and it shows . But seasoning can change the flavor of anything. That's the key! Just a for instance: Ruth doesn't like salmon in the can, but when I make it with shallots old bay Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper, and mayo. She loves it because it masks the fish taste. I do that with lots of things that people tell me they don't like, and I laugh when they eat it and say, man that is great I never new how good it could be. There is no bad food, just poor preparation.

yes there are alot of Gluten free flours and stuff out Almond flour, rice flour, Quinoa flour , potato flour, there is also an all purpose flour you can use, but I am kinda w8in because "they say" If you start eating that stuff right away you won't like it. You have to w8 till you have a real hankering for it! Then you'll be more open to the flavor of it. I was never really about breads and Pasta's anyway , hubbs is more than me!! He has to eat a bowl full of Gluten every day Pharmer Phil all your home grown goodies just put a lil sign in front of them saying Gluten free

Ruth likes seaweed rolled with rice and shrimp...very tasty. I think tonight it's soft shell crab dipped in batter and deep fried, probably with some salsa and salad. This time of the season sea food is plentiful and fresh and Ruth and I take advantage of it. If it walks, crawls,or swims and comes from the ocean we eat it.

Tonight it's clams oreganod. Chopped up clams in seasoned bread crumbs baked in the half shell. Hot sauce topping!! We had some beautiful soft shell crabs yesterday, they were the biggest I have seen in many years. Ruth brought home six and we ate them all...we were both stuffed. The fish market near us has really cleaned up and has some beautiful fish. Three miles from the house makes it very convenient.
