Made blt for lunch.Used alfalfa sprouts for lettuce, sproutted to show neighbor what its about. Pretty much what Ive been doing for burgers lately, coulda used less meat, last patties I made were a bit thicker than needed.Using chopped lettuce with salt/pepper on it,same with maters.

I had a turkey burger instead. And the squash that was in my "Canned Tomatoes" pic. OMG to die for!! Sounds good. I accidentally forgot to put the meat on my burgers once and it was still yummy! So now Im making little thin patties, still get the great beef flavor but cuts the costs and calories without cutting the burger flavor at all. I understand some might like a giant patty and not much else.I Like mine with a bit of mustard,a light smear of mayo, lettuce, onion, pickle, tomato, maybe cheese, maybe ketchup (depends on how juicy maters are)....get all the goodies on really doesnt take much meat to finish it off. Last week made the patties in a pan and well cooked em in their juices, loaded up with above plus a strip of bacon cut in half, lightly toasted buns (almost always toast buns in toaster oven) OMG,that burger was juicy and to die for,Mrs says she has never had a better burger,it was outrageously good. And when you get down to it was more veggie than meat. Try that with a seasoned Portabella Mushroom instead of the meat. It is just as delicious.

Tonight is chicken and dumplins with apple brown betty for desert... One of my favorites is chicken and dumplins bro. Apple brown betty. Don't think I ever had that. We are still on the fish kick, but I'm gettin ready for a change. With the weather changing I'm ready for some chili,or chicken,or soup, maybe beef stew,ox tail soup. All sounds good!

They make fried chicken at the local Acme here and it's great. We can't make better. I love it! It's better then KYC here or and of the other chicken places. They also make mack and cheese that is pretty darn good. That's what we had last night, and Ruth baked a sweet potato.
