Spuds     I do not know how they prove income for the gov food boxes they sign up and must have less than $1260 a month income.

Food pantry no income limit. Any age but seniors now get to go in first.  Stuff stores could not sell.  Out dated.  Day old breads.    


Caveman      I heard years back the county has to pay shipping on the  gov food boxes and someone has to furish the building once a month.

I dropped my refill prescription off this morning and will get it tomorrow.  I  did not want  to wait. My  INR will be the 5th.


Suppose to start T storms tmorrpw for a few days.  Chance of showers.

I cooked two chicken leg qtrs but are small.  18 to 10#.  Put some pasta  in the broth. So all that is done. And with green beans that will  be supper.  Two legs will do me 4 meals.  So I have some pre cooked meals. 



Got my pills ok this morning,  Looks to be 90.  Were ready.  Walked my mile. No bus the 5th in town as going to out of town for Council on aging.  That makes it the 6th for my test. Holiday messes that up for Monday.

I'm not familiar with government boxes. The people I work with get food stamps now called an EBT card and/or food from a food pantry. You sort of figure really aren't doing without when they tell you their kids won't eat Cheerios don't we have Sugar Frosted Flakes instead.

The food boxes are for low income sernior.  Been around good many years,  Gov surplus.   Down efood pantry was emergencies only  .  There is a food pantry is this town  in church.  Income limit and how your soend it. 


Supper will be green beans  and cheese sandwich. 

I bought two Nordic ware bake pans.  One faNCY EASTER EGG mUFFINS And the ;ittle butterfly cakes,  Cast and $2 each. Coould not pass that up. Thrift shop.

Whole wheat pasta is hard for me to cook it eatable.  Some brand are better than others I find.  Got it ok last two times.  Cooked in chicken broth.       Supper last night chicken, pasta and green beans.

Well I am still eating. Plan simple stuff. Beeen by phone.  Thought Doctor would call  maybe. Put in to get prescription changed to him..  Soon be time ypgp seeifIhavebills in the mail box.


Supper will be chicken and 4 boiled baby carrits and my 1/2 cup of green beans,  and milk.  Yes I have to measure green beans and peas.    


No call.  Hope he did it.  Last one to get changed over.   I got trash ready to   goo to the bin.  Sun came out and quit beng dark.

We've been eating out of the garden, very little meat. It's just too hot for meat.

I have been so about Zucchini lately! I didn't grow any but a friend of mine did and you know if one person has 2 plants then theres enuf for the whole neighborhood!

Well it is cold in jouse thus morning.  Good weather to cook and warm up things.  66 in house this morning.  


Can  I cook chicken in pinto beans?          I have lot of both.  I kmow chicken and white beans work.

I will only cook cookies today.  I did potatoes and boiled eggs.

Did you cook chicken in the pinto beans? Never heard of that but might be good.

Pprtaguese bean soup us food and is white beans chicken broth and chicken and kale. White chili is white beams and chicken and spices.  Have mot ate.  Sounds good.  chicken leg qtrs. too fat to just put into beans.  May be just one

If my contracts come in ok I will not go to food pantry all next year..    Cheapest bread here $1.79.  Will shop in cities all I can,  But still hgh. I plan if I can see enough I plan to bake breads.  My goal  is to learn to make different kinds  of ntrad.  I love French bread but have never made it. Got the pans some where.

mrs made bread last couple days.We opened flour that was packed with oxygen absorbers in mylar bag,then inside 5 gallon bucket.Excellent seal,as fresh as the day we packed it back in 2009.Should have taken pics when I opened it.

Great /my flour just old but not that old several years. Few little lumpa in it, I use flour sifter. The 4 pans I bought for bread are dark and should bake better. Thrift has a stack. I picked what I thought best but all good.

This Mexican cooj book I have has interesting breads.  I learned one  that took a special iron,  Recipe sai if could not get Mexican ieon use rosette iron,  The rosette iron will not work. I found Mexican iron at a yard sale and it works.   Holiday bread,  .

I ljked the peppers I fixed for supper,  Pan was too small to fry seperate.  Got to boil some more small potatoes today.   This bag is small ones.     I do not peel.

My garden had kicked back in for some strange reason so I had a tomato sandwich for dinner. Started to cook some squash but will wait for tomorrow.

I washed my 4 "new" bread pans.   I have the Di Vince in the kitchen. I can use to read recipes.  I can take letters and papers to it .  I am still learning.  I am reading these Mexican bread recipes to see what I need to buy to try them.  Got to test the yeast bag. They all call for more sugar it seems.

I try reading each day.   Dose not help on cooking  or sewing,  Scott did not have anything to help that wag.   Tomorrow bus goes  to city for shopping I will try the HVM one again.   


There  is abean with pasta and is Italian.      I never  tried.  Paella is good.

Bill never want home made bread,  he wanted onlu hot breafs witht meal. You can freeze bread.

Colorado, therein lies the problem. I would not freeze any of it. I'd eat it all. Probably with butter. Fatty fatty two by four.
